What it is swimmers?

Make sure you check out the first show clip of Robot Chicken.  The show is going to be friggin hilarious.  If you go to the webcam link and check out the Robot Chicken team interview you'll hear the man himself, Seth Green, refer to the show as "Getting kicked in the **bleep**, while being fed a sunday!"

Awesome, friggin awesome!

I've read Toyfare for a long time. Almost since its first issue. I remember when they talked about meeting Seth Green. Then more about Seth Green. Then when he became part of the staff. I think Robot Chicken was inspired largly by Twisted Mego Theater which is now called Twisted Toyfare Theater since it now contains more than just Megos. I've always loved reading that section of the mag, and always will, being a subscriber. ^_^ I tried explaining Twisted Toyfare Theater to a friend of mine, but they didn't quite get it. "Spiderman is always in costume, with a very "I could care less" attitude, and his aunt is there calling him Peter and telling him how awful Spiderman is. Iron Man is portrayed as a constant drunken alcoholic. The Observer is sworn to observe, but never to interfere, but does anyway. Its like all the negative things about comic book heroes and villains are amplified and misused for our amusement." Hehe.

I can't wait to see Robot Chicken. I've already seen the clip available on the AS front page. I've wanted to see something like this since Action League NOW. I always thought that show could have been better if they would have started using other action figures and new plots. I seem to remember a non-Nickelodeon Action League that wasn't so watered down. But I can't remember where I saw it. Most definatly a pilot episode or something. Oh well. Now Seth has me wondering what Robot Chicken was on that menu....

Yeah i read about the two characters, i'm glad to see that the show's title actually means something instead of two random words. Pretty cool, but i heard that sketches lasted from 30-50 seconds. If true then it may s uck! Sketches should be around 2 minutes. But hey, thats an opinion.

Off-topic: I was in a hurry to head to work so I was going to make a new thread. However, I was calm enough to see this thread about Robot Chicken. Now on to the reason of this post:

As you all know, Robot Chicken premieres this Sunday at 11:30pm EST. You seen the promos, plus an interview with the creators and other staff behind Robot Chicken on [adultswim.com] (Seth Green better put the Dixie cup down, if you know what I mean). Anyway, there are probably people still skeptical if this show will be a hit. So that's where I come in and post you a review about Robot Chicken from today's local paper. In short, "...Robot Chicken is too much fun to miss...".

Click on this purty link and read the article for yourself, if you have doubts about this show. I, for one, can't wait to see it. I'm a fan of old-school stop-motion animation.

That is all.

I saw a commercial last night talking about a robot chicken sandwich. The announcer was talking about eating it like it was a sexual experience. It wasn't the usual announcer.

At the end they showed a roll with metal chicken (looked like armor) in it, like a sandwich.

I watched it and I was like "What the hell was that."

Good job folks. :smileyvery-happy:

A ' Chicken' that
makes you cackle

ROBOT CHICKEN.
Sunday night at 11:30, Cartoon Network.

It's only 15 minutes long - but consider it heavily concentrated comedy. Watch the 15-minute premiere of "Robot Chicken," Cartoon Network's newest "Adult Swim" entry, and I all but guarantee you'll laugh harder, and more often, than at any current prime-time sitcom twice its length.

"Robot Chicken" is the brainchild of actor Seth Green (Dr. Evil's son in the "Austin Powers" movies) and Internet stop-motion short filmmaker Matthew Senreich, and an outgrowth of their early, Sony-funded experiments with Internet animation.

The concept, fleshed out by head writers Doug Goldstein and Tom Root, is as weird as it is original: Imagine an "SCTV" sketch series poking fun at TV and film, but with animated action pictures and puppet likenesses playing all the parts.

The first "Robot Chicken," co-created and co-directed by Green and Senreich, premieres Sunday night at 11:30 on Cartoon Network.

Viewers may want to take a toy collector's approach to this show, by taping every one and trading with friends. This show's a keeper - and definitely rewards repeated viewing, because some of the skits go by with such blinding speed, they're almost subliminal.

A puppet President doing a commercial that says, "I'm George W. Bush, and I approved this message: Tacos rule!" - five seconds.

The scarecrow from "The Wizard of Oz," getting stabbed with a shiv in prison and bleeding straw - eight seconds. And not until I rewound the tape did I notice the skit's title, which justified the conceit: "Oz."

There are longer productions, too, ranging from a "very special episode" of "Transformers," which turns out to be a medical public service announcement starring Optimus Prime, to a delightfully accurate parody of the classic "This is your brain on drugs" PSA spot, in which Rachael Leigh Cook trashes her apartment with a cast-iron frying pan.

In "Robot Chicken," the real Cook provides the voice of her stop-animated puppet counterpart (cheaply superimposed cartoon mouths match up to the recorded dialogue), who continues her rampage outside the apartment - for a very long, very funny drug-induced temper tantrum. It may be Cook's career-high performance, though that's not much of a compliment.

Other celebrity voices adding to the fun in Sunday's premiere include Macaulay Culkin, Seth Macfarlane, and lots of voices by Green.

"Robot Chicken" is too much fun to miss.

Action figures sold separately.

Robot Chicken looks pretty amusing
I saw clips of these shows on The Screen Savers
It looks like Action League NOW! combined with the humor of MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch!
