Turns out, instead of chum, Sparks has been pumping maple syrup into the ocean surrounding Sealab, instead chosing to sell the chum on the black hors d'eorve market. Some of it was actually repurchased by Sealab for the Shark Party, and you may actually be eating it on a cracker right now.
But the maple syrup has attracted an odd sort of barnacle, which has popped up in great numbers around sealab and is threatening to cut off the intakes of all pods.
The Sealab crew will have to go out and physically scrape off the barnacles, or the pods will shut down, eventually depriving everyond of oxygen.
Here's how combat works (it will take place in this thread).
The score of your attack (damage if you will) is 1 per level.
So:
serfs do 1 point of damage
Peasants do 2
Commoners do 3
Yeomans do 4
Gentry do 5
Defense works the same.
All "kudos" to attack posts get +1 to the attack per kudo.
All "kudos" to defense posts get +1 to the kudo'd Knight's defense per kudo.
Tags can also help or hinder, depending on what they say. Tags can actually lower your attack and/or defense as well as increase it.
You only get one attack, then the opponent gets to respond. Then you can attack again.
Some Knights will have special weapons, or other abilities, that will add to their attacks or defense, or give them special attacks.
When a knight takes "damage" it comes off their xp. (yeah you can actually lose xp as well as gain it). When hp/xp reaches "0" the Knight is out of that particular combat and must start over at "serf". But a Knight may withdraw from combat at any time (unless prevented somehow by a circumstances)
This specific fight:
Barnacles: Attack = 0, Defense = 0
Special ability = buildup; many barnacles accumulating on a surface add to their hp. So if there are 100 barnacles, you have to do 100 points of damage to dislodge them.
They may also attach to your wetsuit, possibly damaging it or slowing you down. If your suit gets damaged, you start to lose hp.
Current Accumulation:
Pod 1: 100
Pod 2: 50
Pod 3: 25
Pod 4: 25
Pod 5: 25
Pod 6: 50
Pod 7: 100
At "100" pods will begin their shutting down process.
Knights must declare which pod's barnacles they are attacking before their attack.
If all the barnacles are cleared, xp will be awarded accordingly to level of participation in the combat.
