This is Turtle Racing! Here's how it works.
You must seek out a racing turtle to all your own.
Then you must race it against other knights, and members of the Sealab 2021 crew.
If you come in 3rd place, you get 10 points.
If you come in 2nd place, you get 20 points.
if you come in 1st place, you get 30 points (at "serf" rank, enough to rank you up two levels).
you also get a few points for just participating (which is always the way it works, just by posting in the folder you basically
get tiny bits of xp for you knight NOT SPAMMING the folder to rank up, mind you, just posting topically or entertaining manner)
Here's how you do it:
To find your racing turtle,
1. you must do a thread search for posts with the word "turtle" in them. They must be genuine posts that contain that word. They can be posts of your making, ie you can post a new thread or post instead of searching, but there have to be topical responses in the thread to your post from other users for it to count. The thread can be in any folder on the AMSB.
You must chose one of those posts, be it one you found, or one you made yourself, as your racing turtle.
2. you must post a link in this thread to that post (your selected "turtle" post)..
3. The post will be assessed by how interesting or funny it is, and how many replies it generates. The better the post, the faster the turtle you have found.
4. No two players may have the same racing turtle. So the first person to link to a particular post is the one who gets that particular turtle.
Races will be run periodically, the first will be held this Saturday (tomorrow) if anyone has caught any turtles by then.
Once you have your "turtle" by the way, you can name it whatever you want.
Repeat/short version:
1. Find or make a post somewhere on the ASMB (any folder) with the word "turtle" in it.
2. post a link to said post containing the word "turtle" in this thread.
3. your choice of turtle will be assessed for speed. Funnier and more interesting posts containing the word "turtle" will produce faster racing turtles, so chose carefully.
4. race your turtle. The better you place, the more points you receive to advance your Knights rank.
