Mushi-Shi, Berserk, Black Cat,
Chobits, Dears, Trigun, Abeniboshi,
xxxHolic, Oh My Goddess, Suzaka,
For gods sakes anything to replace Full Metal.
hell move Inuyasha up in its place.
just whatever you do
please please never stop airing fooly cooly
i remember when u first aired it
by far my favorite anime.
seriously try Mushi-Shi
its pretty easy to follow and it has some cool twists
and its one of those shows that if it is dropped
it doesnt interrupt the next episodes
but seriously the only thing i like about Full Metal
is the last 3 episodes. otherwise its a predictable bore.

Mine is... quite a large list.
I'll post it if you really want it... but... it's not going to do much good.
Since AS hates anime and all...

look honestly i could care less what kind of anime they air as long as they finally get some new material in there.
for the Highers' sake it shouldnt be that hard.
i mean they stopped with the new episodes of bleach and ive seen full metal all the way through three times.
and there are enough freaken gundam and robot animes to last a lifetime.
when they started reairing the old episodes of bleach i stopped watching.
if i want to see the begining of the series again ill watch the box sets that i have.
i mean if they hate anime so much then why do they air it? you would think if the had an
issue with anime they would stop airing it.
but they dont because of ratings and whatever else their issue is, and yet they
wont air new anime to get higher ratings and say we are complaining about anime.
talk about hypocritical.
i mean if they need a list of shows,
there are obviously a waiting list of people who would be more than happy to help out.
for example:
paranoia agent
serial experiment lame
outlaw star
soul taker
better man
crest of stars
magical shopping arcade abenaboshi
elfen leid
gant
records of the lodoss wars

What in the **** is AS' problem with anime?! Why do they have a problem with it in the first place?!

Please get your facts straight.
Fullmetal Alchemist has been rerun several times. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is an entirely different show that is still airing in Japan and is very different from the first anime. If you watched last night, that fact should be ungodly obvious by now. Brotherhood is a faithful adaptation of the manga; the first one was not.
And we're getting a new anime this Saturday! Kekkaishi premiers at 12:30 eastern. It's actually had a commercial aired all week and everything!
Bleach is in reruns because AS has to wait for Viz, the company responsible for it in America, to give them the dubbed episodes to air. There's not much they can do until they get those.
AS aired Paranoia Agent a few years ago. It didn't do very well in the ratings, and they eventually lost the rights to air it.

@demanding:
they dont have a problem with it. they air it once a week. and we're lucky to get that. it doesnt get good ratings like their comedy. they make more money off their original comedies. if anime pulls in 400~500k every saturday... then maybe Bleach & FMA:Brotherhood can make a weekday anime comeback... but till [as] thinks anime can hold its own... it wont come back beyond saturday for awhile

Actually, there's another anime series scheduled to premier in November.
That makes three new anime series that they've given us this year. Along with new Bleach, which was supposed to come back in April but couldn't because of a problem on the dubbing company's end, not Adult Swim's.

yeah i get that the brotherhood part of fullmetal is new.
but as i said when they started reairing the old episodes of bleach
i stopped watching [AS]
you can critisize my posting all you want
and your right i dont know the facts
thats why i post
you can say im not a true [AS] fan
and wtf/e else you can come up with
even though ive been watching [AS] since i was 8
and saw FLCL for the first time, i beleive after watching blue gender (they should totally bringit back)
while my mom banged some dude in the room next room.
i may have only had an account for 2 yrs or less.
i honestly dont care i have bigger crap to deal with
than to argue wether or not one anime is better than another
the thing is i posted because it was an insane suggestion
just for the heck of it and to learn the answers to the ever present question of
why.
i get they just gave us three new animes this year.
for the people who have been begging for this longer than me:
im freaken happy for you.
but this post is nothing but a suggestion and an opinion post.
if someone wants to stop all arguements then they need to start a post
telling all the facts and answers to why [AS] doesnt air some anime or another.

Look last year I thought AS was going to stop broadcasting anime. Every sign pointed towards them ditching everything except maybe Bleach. They hadn't had a new show except for the later part of Moribito in quite a while. This looked bleak. I fully expect ASA to be gone in 2010. Adult Swim has no finaicially viable reason to buy more anime especially if the ratings aren't at least in the 400k+ range more often. They can make up loses on their comedy originals through merchandise and DVD sales but anime is all about ratings. When the ratings are bad then anime ends up minimized and contracts are not renewed and new series are not picked up. Because of that along with generally bad ratings in 2008 and 2009 (Bleach being the exception usually) there was every reason to assume anime would be removed from Adult Swim entirely at some point this year.
Anime is still on however and they picked up 3 fresh shows (though one is partially a remake and a future one is probably the continuation to Inuyasha) along with more Bleach and at some point all 4 series might be airing premieres. If ratings were overall bad in the past 2 years then why would they bother to pick up more? The reason is Adult Swim WANTS to air anime. It wants to fill that niche when so few others will. They can't do it as much as we'd all like because it's not good business but the reason anime is still around today is because they want to air it and they choose to air it despite not really needing it (or anything aside from Family Guy, ATHF, RC and Boondocks to maintain decent enough ratings to continue being a highly rated as they are).
The other reason is while they don't "need" anime it has proven to be a valuable resource for that one night a week that comedy just doesn't pull in strong enough numbers. Anime fans are loyal like a good dog. I don't mean that to be rude but compared to the fickle comedy audience that only regularly watches maybe 4 shows on Adult Swim the anime audience is considerably more reliable. They are fewer in number (counted numbers anyway) but MUCH more reliable. Anime will regularly pull in 300k+ on Saturday night because of those viewers. 300k isn't impressive but it sure beats getting less than 300k and while comedies may be able to manage that on Saturday (some of them, meaning the ones people watch like American Dad, Robot Chicken, Aqua Teens, etc.) I fully believe anime has an easier time doing it because regardless of whatever else is on or whatever else they could be doing you can count on the anime fans to be there just about every week. The Sunday numbers flux a great deal while Saturday remains lower but consistent. That is the value of anime to Adult Swim. Fair ratings they can rely on. I think they even said so in a card at some point. I was worried in 2009 that they finally changed their minds about the value of anime on the block but thankfully my fears were unfounded and anime is still on and we're still getting new shows today.
I'm very optimistic about the state of anime on Adult Swim actually. Good things are yet to come.
I do miss the days when anime was on Adult Swim daily but I don't expect those days will be coming back and I've come to accept that. As long as they continue to pick up new anime they're cool with me. Well... anime wise. Comedy wise they leave a bit to be desired in my opinion but that's a whole nother rant.

Sorry Sketchor, that won't do. Apparently to him, AS needs to air nothing but anime. Hell, CN should just become an anime 24/7 channel.
Too bad that if that were to really happen, he would then complain about WHAT anime is being shown.
He will never be satisfied, no matter what happens.

People under 18 aren't counted as far as ratings go, so they don't matter to AS when deciding on shows to pick up.
