Baccano!
This show to me screams something anyone could get into. Comedy, action, a rich story and amazing voice actors from the guys at funimation.
If anything Ladd Russo is more than enough to draw in viewers by himself. His amazing voice actor that brings out that psychopath Ladd is.
Here's a clip

Here's hoping to see this hit Adult Swim!

Mahou Shoujo Madooka Magica. Watch up to episode 3 at least before you decide if it **QWOP** or not. (12 episodes total)

Just air a quick viewer disclaimer before it airs.
Problem solved.

That might solve the problem is the violence only happened a few times but it happens a whole lot. Baccano earns it's TV-MA-V rating with pride. The violence in it puts even Metaocalypse and the other particularly violent AS comedies to shame.
A guy takes a kid's hand and forces it to be crushed by the ground and train tracks while the train is moving. His fingers fly everywhere and this doesn't happen once. People are beat to a bloody pulp with their faces smashed in. Limbs are severered, people are graphically choked to death, people are shot up like swiss cheese and the amount of blood shown makes Bleach look like kid's stuff.
I can fully understand why the S&P might turn this show down and an extra disclaimer simply wouldn't cut it. Adult Swim never has and likely never will play something as brutally violent as Baccano.
Also it's on the FUNimation Channel so to all those hoping that it will air on AS, that's a definative sign that it wont.

Judging from that description (I haven't seen the series.), yeah, it definitely wouldn't fly even with a disclaimer. Sad, but true. The most violent anime [adult swim] I think has ever aired was Blood+.
On a side-note, who was the fool that changed the thread title to "Anima Suggestions"?

Adult Swim's missing out, but whatever.
Their loss I guess.
I plan on watching it regardless so I guess it doesn't matter.

Indeed that is their loss because it's a fantastic show.
Just be sure to watch it legally when you get around to it. ![]()
It'll be available dubbed.

Yeah yeah... it depends on if the episodes are still up when I get to it.
Anyway I'm going to start suggesting anime now one at a time.
Durarara!!

Well I don't usually bother to suggest this but whatever you're watching... it's not as good as Baccano. Stop what you're watching right now and watch Baccano then come back to whatever you were watching. Or don't, but I'm serious about it likely being better than whatever you're watching.
Durarara is still my #1 most wanted show for Adult Swim.
Nearly as briliant as Baccano but much tamer so they could play it without any concerns and while it's tamer it's still very mature and would likely interest the folks that continue to watch Cowboy Bebop as well as the folks who watch Bleach and Fullmetal Alchemist.

Maybe so but I'm trying to get through an InuYasha rewatch in preparation for The Final Act... so... sorry... no.
Anyway... next is two because you can't watch one without the other.

I didn't see one good suggestion. Here's mine:
SOUL EATER
KAZE NO STIGMA
IS: Infinite Stratos
Dragon Crisis
Claymore
Inuyasha: The Final Act
Gundam Wing
Tenchi Muyo
Look them up, they are some really good title, two of them may need new writers. Kaze No Stigma has an Inuyasha feel to it.

Dragon Crisis!!? Oh gawd. That show definitely wouldn't fit with the [adult swim] audience. I saw the whole thing and while it is a good show, it's way too tame for [as]. It would fit better on a kid's channel with minor edits. It earns it's light TVPG rating with pride.
As for the others, I'll comment on some.
Soul Eater-It's already on the FUNimation Channel, so it can't air on [as].
Kaze no Stigma-That could work. It hasn't been out on DVD for all that long.
InuYasha: The Final Act-[adult swim] most likely already has this. However, the dub isn't complete still. Until VIZ Media announces the completion of the dub, we won't see it on [as].
Gundam Wing-It's been seen like a million times, and if I remember right was already on [adult swim]. It wouldn't do so well after all this time. Plus some people are starting to get sick of all this Gundam.
Tenchi Muyo-All of them? There are multiple Tenchi Muyos. So many spinoffs and such. [adult swim] already aired Tenchi Muyo Ryo-Ohki and that was ages ago. They most likely won't get it back. Plus, it's coming out under FUNimation Entertainment's Anime Classics line soon.

I also forgot to mention since Crunchryoll just has streaming rights to Dragon Crisis!!, and nobody has the license, it doesn't have a dub, so it can't be helped.

Do you have an excuse for EVERY anime to NOT be played on Adult Swim?
That seems counter-productive.
I thought you liked anime and wanted more anime to be aired on Adult Swim?
Or is that just me?
I guess that's just me... how unfortunate...

They aren't excuses. They are the legitimate reasons why such shows don't air or why they wouldn't do well, and why [as] wouldn't bother getting such shows (Example: X show doesn't have a dub and isn't licensed. Therefore it's out of [as]'s hands to get it at all.). I am for more anime on [adult swim] (Right now just an hour on weekdays, and new shows every once in a while.), as long as it would prove to be successful. We don't want [as] to get a show that does bad (Shows that don't do well get cancelled, while they are forced to hold onto the rights.), and they have to take it off of the air, and as a result can't get something that would do well for them until the contract expires. Plus if [as] loses money as a result, you're less likely to get more anime and that is fact. Anime ain't cheap.
Okay, something like Air for example I know for a fact wouldn't do well. You can for around $15 own all the episodes (The series has been out on DVD since 2007. You had four singles from ADV Films, then a box set from FUNimation Entertainment, and then a S.A.V.E. release.), and finish the DVD in a day. The show doesn't fit with the [as] audience, and believe me, shows as short as that have been out on DVD for years wouldn't do well.

I assure you it's not just you lest you forget my thrilled reaction when Durarara!! was announced.
Anyway Dragon Crisis isn't dubbed yet and it isn't even licensed so it'll be a while before that's even an option.

However it's something that wouldn't really work for [adult swim]. ANN gave it a C+, many people said they hated it, it's filled with cliches, and whatnot. Plus it's way too tame for the [as] audience. It earns a very light TVPG rating.
I saw the whole thing every week on Crunchyroll when they were simulcasting it, and while it is good (In my opinion.), it just wouldn't work with the [as] audience whatsoever. I mean, many people with Aria the Scarlet Ammo (Aria no Hidan) when they were talking about it when that show was just starting up, they were like "Ugh, is it this season's Dragon Crisis!!?" so that gives a hint lots of people don't think well of that show and Dragon Crisis!!.

Oh come now. Surely you know the difference between legitimate reasons and lame excuses such as not buying anime because you don't have money is a legitmate reason but stealing anime because you don't have money is a lame excuse.
