So then if Adult Swim joined everyone else... that wouldn't be so terribly surprising.

It's not like anime would be dead in America if Adult Swim stopped playing TV because people have moved on to watching anime via Netflix, Hulu and Crunchyroll for free or for a small price. Netflix would definently suit your needs except for Viz shows because Viz is the only company that doesn't upload dubs of their anime on Netflix.

Adult Swim has to give the majority viewers what they want in order to stay in business. Luckily they can dedicate some time to niche viewership on Saturday night but asking for more than that is just too unreasonable at this point. They can't get the ratings they can from Family Guy with anime. They never have and they never will get a million 18-34 viewers to tune in for any anime. Not even Naruto Shippuden, One Piece or their current top rated Bleach. Not even InuYasha was able to get in the millions with 18-34 back in it's prime. And if it was a matter of total viewers then the top rated comedies still have anime beat by over a million total viewers. That's just too large of a margin to ignore no matter how much they want to keep playing anime.

So they'll keep doing it for now but if the anime ratings slip well below what comedy can pull in they'll have no choice but to minimize and even cancel the action block. I don't see that happening any time soon but the very idea of expanding and picking up more anime is ridiculous when anime is is doing so much worse than the top rated comedies. They're willing to bite the bullet 6 hours a week and airng 1-2 even 3 premieres at a time but anything more than that is overextending anime's worth to them and costing them too much money.

I don't know when the next anime will premiere but it probably wont be too long from now. For now enjoy Bleach when it comes back to premieres on January 7th and be grateful for what you still have while awaiting what Adult Swim will air later this year.

As long as it brings in good enough ratings to stay on the air, that's good with me.

I hope they get something. When they get anime, yes I want to have a show that will appeal to me, but one important thing is to consider other shows that don't interest you that other people like.

They're apples and oranges really but nobody is going to say otherwise.

That's why it's good it's not a series of shorts because if it was shorts people would hate them. Because the show is a different format entirely it has a chance to be judged on it's own merrits. Some people still don't care for it and I can understand that but I think The Looney Tunes Show is pretty funny just nowhere near as funny or Looney as the vintage shorts.
