Well they have my respect for not airing another kids show, so it evens out.

They really need to start changing to adapt to the times. Air more adult oriented anime, even if that means becoming more lenient on things like violence and fanservice.

Translation: Naruto Shippuden is a waste of money for [adult swim] now. Air something else that would be worth it like One Piece, or Gintama (If the movie sells well enough for Sentai to dub the whole show.).

Well no, honestly when I put it this way... it's the #5 show of all time on Hulu and the #2 of all time in cartoons on Hulu. And while that doesn't indicate ratings for sure, Family Guy is number one and American Dad is also very high ranked on AS and Hulu so there must be some correlation. Afterall, Bleach is also on Hulu and it sure didn't hurt it's ratings last year and on the animation list it's #6 of all time.
I've got to believe that even 3 years too late Naruto Shippuden would probably still get better ratings than most anime including One Piece and Gintama (which I say begrudgingly I assure you) because even if I think only maybe 10 people haven't seen Naruto Shippuden's first 100 episodes by now (and I'm one of them, I've only seen about 20 of them) it can certainly find more viewers no matter how long it's been around. It's ridiculously popular for a reason.
So while I could not care less whether or not they actually air Naruto Shippuden and I do feel it poses a risk for the price Viz will ask for it but I'm sure it could still get good ratings even 3 years too late. It just wont get the ratings it could have gotten because it's so far behind the DVD release but even with that against it it could easily crack 500,000 viewers 18-34 every Saturday for a half hour or an hour and that certainly would be good for ASA's ratings. But I can't say for sure what would happen if they did try to air Naruto Shippuden. It could go either way but I'm no longer going to assume it would inevitably due poorly for them.

Hm?
The resolution is obvious.
Air both Shippuden AND One Piece.

Then they won't be able to air anything else. It's either Naruto Shippuden and One Piece, or a bunch of other shows.

They don't have the money for that. They probably don't have the money for Bleach and Naruto much less Bleach, Naruto AND One Piece.
We've been over this.
They only have so much budget and when anime does not do better it is not granted a larger part of the budget to work with.
Right now it's barely earning it's keep and not making them money. What is making them money are those comedies you consider so un-funny and so not worth their time. It's because of their success that you still have anime, that's kind of unfair to those shows for their success to be used to buy shows that will not do as well but Adult Swim does that in order to maintain their current level of variety.
Sure Naruto and One Piece could probably beat some of their original series in the ratings but those lower rated shows can use DVD sales to make up for their lower ratings revenue where as acquisitions are only profitable from ratings revenue and Japanese cartoons don't get anywhere near the ratings reruns of American Dad and Family Guy do. While they are willing to fork over a lot of money to keep those shows on hand. PIcking up more long running anime isn't in the books and asking for them to run 3 or even 2 at the same time is pushing it.

look, anime, like every show ever aired on television regardless of country of origin and channel, requires money to air.
Adult Swim does not have the money to air these shows, its not about winning or losing, its about them not having enough cash to air these shows (partly cause people like you pirate it)
you don't go to a store, demanding games you can't afford, then say the store 'loses' cause they won't give it to you.
let's think about this for a minute, say Adult Swim, for whatever God forsaken reason, listened to you and bought the rights to air the show, and it ended up making them go bankrupt, they would then shut down, and you would lose one of the last channels that airs anime.
then you'd be forced to watch it on hulu and crunchyroll for any chance of a dub, and in your case since your pirate it, it would then cost the companies who actually OWN the series money, making them unable to afford the dubs, resulting in dubbing being eliminated.
then all thats left is anime only in Japanese.
then we ALL lose.

That being...
-Companies should cater only to you.
-The entire world needs to treat anime like God and must love it.
-Dubs cost nothing to make, so there's no reason not to make them.
-Anime costs nothing to air, so [as] should air only anime.
-Every TV station in the world must air anime you like UNCUT AND UNEDITED 24/7
-You're doing nothing wrong by pirating and never buying.
-Etc.
