Um, I suggested one for a show that's on the web and doesn't have a host. Why was it deleted?

I'm REALLY get tired of seeing shows being suggested like Clerks and Invader ZIM.

No one ever reads this thread at all if they suggest Viacom shows.

ok, i came online planning on suggesting clerks, but now that ive read all the messages saying not to, i was wondering... what about a JAY AND SILENT BOB cartoon? or a DOGMA cartoon, hell, even a MALL RATS, or CHASING AMY, or JERSEY GIRL (if its any good) cartoon... from what i heard on the audio commentary for the clerks dvd it sounds like kevin smith would love to try to do that again... the episode they had planned with KITT sounds hillarious. (if you dont know what im talking about, go rent the dvds)

ok, thats all

What about that old Beetlejuice cartoon?  Or would that be considered too children's showish (and if that's considered too children's showish why the heck do you have Baby Blues still?)?

How about approaching Bob Burden creator of Flaming Carrot comics?  his comics are histarical!!  or how about Mike Allred creator of Madman comics, X-Static, and Red Rocket 7?  His comics completly rock!!  oh so, stylized with pop art!!

Adult Swim should talk Johnen Vasquez (creator of Invader Zim) into making an animated series of his comic "Squee!". I think that Squee! is an awsome comic and anything Johnen Vasquez does is going to be incredibly funny. :manhappy:

Adult Swim should see if they can get "The Critic" (from the creators of The Simpsons). I think it would be possible since they have Futurama.

Okay. I'm not sure if somebody posted this idea before.
Get Robert Smigel and make an show about the X-Presidents skits he did on SNL
They could have Bill Clinton in it and lots of **bleep** jokes

I don't think an ambiguously gay dou cartoon show would work but maybe AS could just show the original skits. I haven't seen them on SNL in a while I wonder why. I also haven't
watched SNL in a while because it has gone way way way down the crapper and come out in a raw sewage treament plant then gone back down again trough some animal feces until it i found it comnig back up through my sink.

Anyway, maybe AS could bring back TV Funhouse or is that viacom?

I think it's important to point out that you should never post even as a joke, messages containing the following:

  1. Any sexually explicit act that is a violation of state or federal law; such as rape/ child molestation/ etc.
  2. Violence against yourself or another; such as committing suicide/ homicide/ assault/ etc.
  3. Instructions on how to build an explosive device.
  4. Terrorist threats
  5. Claiming to have knowledge of a crime that has been committed or will be committed and you in fact have no such knowledge.
  6. ANYTHING THAT VIOLATES THE [adult swim] RULES OF CONDUCT FOR THESE MESSAGE BOARDS.

I dont know if anyone out there has ever seen the animated TV show "Clerks", but its freakin hilarious. I suppose it may be kinda hard to make it an everyday thing cause the series only originally aired for 6 episodes and they never showed the first one, but it may work as a weekend thing. It would be great to see it on the air again (cause then I wouldnt have to keep going back to that crappy video store to get it).
Some other suggestions of mine are:
1: "Dilbert". It was pretty good, but it never really struck me as an Adult Swim type of show.
2: "The Critic". Also good
...Im sure theres more, but Im too lazy to think of them right now

Right on brother! way to keep the faith. Kevin Smith is a genious and I think it would be awsome for the Quick Stop to have a home on Adult Swim!

That would be cool if Kevin Smith and Stan Lee got together and made some crazy action show, that was a parody of super heroes or something. basically anything by Kevin Smith really would be awesome.

There's a series of online cartoons made with a program called Macromedia Flash MX they are hilarious, you can view them on Newgrounds.com, but it's the College University cartoon series. Part 8 of the series is on the front page of Newgrounds.

Here's a link to part 8 even though you should watch Parts 1-7 first: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/181510

Viacom, the entity that currently owns Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Spike TV, and MTV, has proven to be resistent to sell anything to AS or Cartoon Network.

I apologize if this has been answered before, but I could not find the answer in this thread or by searching.

What is behind Viacom's resentment of selling shows to CN? I have a hard time believing that its pure competition.

Sorry for being off topic too.:smileyhappy:

Oh has anyone seen Foamy the Squirrel that'd make  a great show. I think the animators style is sort of an Invader Zim style.

see that's pretty much the idea.  If there's a show that can't currently be shown on AS, suggest some potentially viable alternative basically.

I honestly still think someone from AS should contact the Parker Bros. and try and buy College University off them. I think it's one of the most hilarious toons and the style has a Family Guy/Futurama feel to it I'd say.

I would like it very much if you didnt put south park on adult swim. I know that most people love the show but the main reason i do watch adult swim is that i dont need to hear those potty-mouthed little cretins!!!!!
