Recently I've been pondering the adultswim lineup, and it occurred to me that all of the live action shows that air are comedies. Rarely, if ever, do these shows have any action to them (with that business being mainly left to the animes to cover) and I think it would be interesting to see what an adultswim live-action action-focused series would be like.
Which brings me to the title, Toku. It's shorthand for a particular Japanese production style, Tokusatsu, which centers on making live-action action-themed programs by using practical effects rather then CGI or animation. Franchises like Godzilla and Power Rangers sprang up from this style of television, and I certainly think that it would be worth considering this method of programming for a future production. You can go as corny or as camp or as tongue-in-cheek as you like with it too, as some of the best parts of the genre are the shows that have the occasional comedic moment blended in.
Just my two cents. Hope this hasn't bored you out of your skull.

Alright folks, I've looked up a proper example of the sort of weird action series suggested in the previous post. Feast your ocular orbs on the epic battle between Kamen Rider X and Starfish Hitler.

Hey, this is still here. Awesome.
Found another clip from another Japanese tokusatsu series for your viewing amusement. This clip features Ultraman Neos, one of the giant space alien heroes who, in this clip, rides his giant monster opponent like a bucking bronco. It's one of those shows that go a bit heavier with the camp and comedy.
