Welcome to Eltingville

[as] has the pilot for this show sitting around somewhere. I think if it was slightly retooled to be a satirical look at both comic fans and anime fans, it could really be a big hit. And since [as] already has the rights to it, there is no money lost in acquiring it.

wow! ... I'm not the only person who still remembers Eltingville! :smileyhappy:

and yes I completely agree with you,

Adult Swim really needs to give this show a second chance ....

... or maybe just re-air the pilot once and a while,

maybe in DVR Theater

I actually went and rewatched the pilot on Youtube. Had some major laughs, felt really nerdy for knowing all the geek talk and trivia, but all in all a great trip down memory lane.

I'm not so sure they could get the creators of that to make more but if they could I'd love it. It's a great show for their earlier hours if they don't push the content further than the pilot did.

HELPeR for the TOONAMI, Mobile Suit Gundam, Dragon Ball Z, Harvey Birdman and Perfect Hair Forever boards. Feel free to ask me anything on those topics.

It should also be noted that the ending theme for this show was done by legendary punk/ska band The Aquabats. Just another reason this show needs to given a shot.

It's all good. But still, another reason why this show needs to be brought to air. The timing is right, people want to see it. And I'm sure it would do far better than God, the Devil, and Bob.
As night falls upon the city, a fear grips its citizens. With the death of their hero comes the return of an old nightmare. He moves in the shadows and controls the minds of those around him leaving chaos in his wake. The inevitable return of pestilence is upon you. His return signals the begining of the end for you. Do not stand in his way, he has no sense of mercy and will destroy those who get in his way. No one is safe.

I'm bumping this thread up because I somehow found myself watching an Aquabats video last night. We NEED this show.

Such a missed opportunity but the concept isn't any less viable today than it was back then so they could still make it a show and should.

I just rewatched the pilot today. So funny. But I felt like such a nerd when I knew most of the answers during the trivia-off. :smileyvery-happy:
