Space Ghost Coast to Coast

is it me or does it seem like only poeple with a very certain sense of humor laugh at space ghost coast to coast.  if you like the show talk about it and if you dont like it why not.

yeah i love space ghost, ive been watching since it started.  space ghost started the whole adult swim idea.  its definitly a classic.  and i have also noticed that the space ghost fans are a different breed, in a good way.  you either love the show to death or you cant stand it.  the first episode i ever saw was banjo, i recorded it and let my friends at school borrow it and we all became space ghost junkies.  funny stuff.  good post to, you dont see that many space ghost threads.

Agreed. Space Ghost is an awesome show. But some people just wont "get" it. Y6ou can't blame them, it can be so weird sometimes.... but that's what makes it great.

yeah long live the ghost is right. lol. would anybody agree with me when i say that george lowe's adlibing on the show is brilliant, he is the most naturally funny guy on tv.

Space Ghost has been one of the most bizarre shows since it was first aired as a talk show. Thats what makes it so great. It just doesn't make sense sometimes and that contributes to the comedy element.

sg c2c blew me away when it first started.

it seemed like a silly idea at the onset...i mean a cartoon talk show??  WTF is that?

then i saw it...the sickest sense of humor i'd ever encountered.

it was brilliant

my favorite episode was the one with hanson...Evil santa claus vs. the tooth fairy?

it's like flying sharks and flying corocdiles.

I tuned into the Ghost when it first started up and tried to get my friends -- who are all MST3K fans -- into it by showing them the Joel Hodgson episode, but they didn't bite. Even now I'm still trying to get one of them to sit down with me and watch more episodes on the DVD (he thought "Banjo" was amusing), but I don't want to force him. As Hodgson once said about MST3K, the right people will get it.

i love SGCTC, great wit and funny as hell. also i'm a big fan of Moltar.

one day space ghost fans will rule the world.  its funny, a lot of the people i play the dvds for at my house do not like it, maybe 1 out of 10 people like it but to me its the most entertaining show there is.  space ghost is the vet of AS and its going as strong as ever.  moltar is also one of the most underrated characters on any show, he deserves a lot of credit for the shows success.

Space Ghost is the best! I mean seriously, what other show could pull off all the crazy stuff they do and still be funny? The first time I saw the show was the episode where SG eats all of his guests. At first I thought the show was completely weird, but it was so cool! And I love how the show doesn't have a plot.   Space Ghost rocks!!! And so does this thread.

alright! i think chicks that dig space ghost are that much hotter but thats just me.  its good to hear from space ghost fans.  good to see the show still going strong too.  its funny to hear, for all you that own the dvd, that on the earlier eps the people on the commentary talk about how it was such a disaster and hard to watch.  but those eps were some of the funniest to me.  i really love the part on fire drill with donny osmond and the panda.  i can watch that part with anybody, fan or not, and everyone laughs.

do any of you remember the episode with Gary Owens (the original voice of SG) there was some weird stuff with a bush that talked.
When they first aired that one, they looped it, so the ending transitioned to the beginning...and they played it 3 times in a row.
about halfway through the second one i was going WTF?!?!
and then they played it a 3rd time. It took up a whole half hour with no commercials or anything.
does anybody else remmeber that one?

i've never been a huge fan of space ghost, but for some reason i've always had a soft spot in my heart for moltar, and i'm not really sure why

and to the post about not a fan of the show but having a soft spot for moltar.  moltar is the man, he's an underdog of sorts, way to underappreciated.

sgc2c is a great show, I remember watching it back in the day and not really knowing much about it, just that is was funny as hell. I would try and draw the characters, but I'm terrible at drawing so theres that.
