Couldn't they have just gotten rid of one night's rerun of Gumball or Johnny Test to fit this in instead of punish Saturday night with this reminder that Lucas takes pride in the godawful prequel trilogy? CN already got rid of a few shows so that could've been the opportunity to shove it in one of those slots instead of an [as] one.

They're doing 3 or more in a row on February 4th (probably to coincide with the Phantom Menace release). I'd like to think it's just something they do routinely for Star Wars specials, but the fact that they're airing this after 3 hours of Family Guy/Robot Chicken specials (starting at 12 AM, when the Clone Wars watching demographic would be asleep), the existence of a whole new [as] folder for a series that was airing all of its episodes on CN, and the whole "new anime" acquisition Twitter rumor, it makes me think that [as] is trolling Saturday once again.

Ah, I see what you mean. Wasn't aware it was going to keep airing after this week.

I agree with you though. I was hoping there would be an announcement about the new pickup during one of the bumps, but no luck.

Hopefully they aren't trolling, because I am pretty interested as to what they picked up that is, "similar to DRRR."

The last night on the schedule (Feb. 4th) has a marathon on Clone Wars in honor of 3D Jar Jar. Whether it's just something they bring up to celebrate every Star Wars weekend or a regularly airing show isn't confirmed, but it's pretty sketchy to have an entire Clone Wars folder up if it's only scheduled to be airing on Feb. 4th

The sheer hilarity if this is the new action pickup would be off the scale.

That said, Clone Wars was on Adult Swim Action a while ago, and animu fans got royally p!ssed, with the ratings sinking like a stone.

So of course, Adult Swim's gonna go the Tim and Eric/Squidbillies approach with Clone Wars. Low ratings = our audience is stupid, we're gonna show it more and more till they start liking it!

How the hell would the Clone Wars be the title they recently acquired for the action block, when:

A.) It's already in the Turner library

and

B.) They already aired the show back in 2009.

I barely used the board in 2009, and I didn't give two SHlTS about the Clone Wars. But it did air 2009, and was removed the same year because noone gave two fuuuuuudges about it, and WS was stupid for thinking that it could back up the action block.

And now it's back.

Admittedly though, I think it's back because of Lucas flexing co-promotional clauses in his contract with CN rather than any desire to want to air the show.  The show did only slightly better than the Moribito's of the world.
