Star Wars: the Clone Wars

I guess the logic to adding it was that people who love anime are nerds and people who lover Star Wars are nerds, so they must be the same people. I like the show alright, but I wonder if sticking it in an anime block will be like seeing a Star Trek fan at a renaissance fair

It will be, but truly shouldn't be counted as [as] ACTN, should have been Naruto they put on [as] instead of Clone Wars.

George Lucas and the whole of the Star Wars franchise isn't worth a spoon full of sh!t to the average anime fan.

I will be very surprised if Clone Wars pulls in above 300k in ratings. VERY surprised, although I'm constantly surprised at what garbage gets ratings on this second rate hack of a network anymore.

Why is this being counted as an Action show?  Venture Bros has action in it and that counts as a Comedy.   This better not count as one of the new anime that [as] is bringing.

I think Venture and Boondocks should have been reclassified as Action a long time ago. After all, they're about as funny as the "spotlight" anime series (Bleach, Durarara!!, FMA:B, Kekkaishi), and contain about as much action. Sometimes the action in Boondocks even trumps that of Bleach!

However, Clone Wars is different: it's part of a CN action block, so it stands that [as] would classify it as an action show, since apparently it is coming back in '12. But I think it's a mis-fit for an already loaded action night too. I really don't know where they're going with this...

If there's one show on the CN action block that [as] should consider running, it's ThunderCats. Both CW and TC would be perfect predeccessors to Bleach. Let's hope they eventually use them that way.

I think Clone Wars would do better on some of the weekday slots.  It would be a good balance to the rest of the non-action going on.  And as Star Wars, it has a broader appeal (even with the very childish tone this series took). 

Saturday should be purely anime.  It's the only night they play it and most people who only show up to [as] for Family Guy and whatnot tend to be busy on a Saturday night. 

I guess [as] thinks that:

• Anime = nerds
• Star Wars = nerds
• Anime nerds + Star Wars nerds = harmony

They'll find that that particular equation isn't as balanced as they think. 

Don't get me wrong.  I like both Star Wars and anime.  But they don't mix well.

Agreed.  I am a die hard Star Wars fan, and I love anime too, so I welcome it to the line up, especially since it is replacing PJs and the Boondocks.  No offense to anyone who likes those two shows; they just didn't connect with me personally.  Some say it will not mix well, but I think anime and Clone Wars will go together well.  Surf + turf, Abott + Costello, Star Wars + anime.

Oh, and ...

Everything is going exactly as I have forseen it!
