The High Emperor sets the agenda for the Knights of Swim in all its varied folderdoms and provinces.

The post of High Emperor is turning over for the 2012 Apocalypse.

A new High Emperor will be named based on the votes of the knights and the regular folks who feel like voting on it.

The winners of each folder will then square off against each other in their respective "general" folder.  

The winner of the final vote will be the new High Emperor of the Knights of Swim, and that's whose voice I will speak with when setting the Knights agenda.

Voting:

You can vote once per folder (one time in Aqua Something, one time in Birdman, one time in Sealab etc etc).

You can only vote only once per folder, and you can't change your vote.  So once you've posted your vote in any given voting thread, it's locked in.

The higher the Knight rank, the more the vote is worth.  Regular users can also vote.

Questioning the Candidates:

To help you decide, if you are on the fence, you may pose questions to candidates.  You may pose them to all candidates in general, or to individual candidates, or to any single or subgroup of candidates you wish to address them to.  You can also try to get them to promise things in exchange for your vote.

Meet the Candidates:

Alice:

Platform:  "Strict discipline and no wuss-outs."

Tagline:  "If you're masochist enough to vote, you're masochist enough for me."

Jared:

Platform:  "I plan on streamlining everything and tying it more closely to the bottom line so we don't go overbudget.  I'll shift pay differentials per government guidelines to lower payroll expenditures and increase profit margins.  Then I'll cut wasteful programs and only launch new programs that are budget ready and pass muster with a special programs approval board."

Tagline:  "Stressing the bureaucracy."

Lord Stingray:

Platform:  "I will free you from the shackles of oppressive normalcy and morality-based systems of governance and make you all pirates under my leadership!  Our nation and legacy shall grow until it eclipses everything that is good and right in the world!  We shall usher in a new reign of chaos in which I set the agenda!"

Tagline:  "Who doesn't love a good pirate?"

Warden:

Platform:  "I hereby pledge to execute the duties of the office of High Emperor of the Knights of Swim with the same zeal and focus that I bring to my duties as the Warden of Superjail! every day of my administration.  I can assure knights everywhere that I am indeed the best candidate.  My plans are cannier, my whims are more whimsical, and my cons are far more convoluted!  Subject yourself to the new brand of justice you so richly deserve!  Chose the Warden!"

Tagline:  "Hop on the Warden's bandwagon!  Once you get on, you'll never want to get off!"
