Superjail!

Hey, two good episodes in a row. They crammed a lot of stuff in this episode. A flying ship, a mutiny, a treasure hunt, an Amazon civilization, and lots and lots of death.

I've been one of those who has liked this season so far, but I think we may have found a rhythm with this episode. Shame it's the season finale.

I loved it. Better than AUPS1, actually.

It was great to see The Mistress and Cherice again.

Really sad that it's the season finale. [adult swim] HAD BETTER RENEW IT

This episode was PERFECT for a good number of reasons I'd like to name off.

1. The blood and gore was everywhere. Personally I don't care either way, but this episode was probably perfect for all the fanboys hating on this season due to the lack of gore. Hopefully they'll STFU (but we all know that's IMPOSSIBLE).

2. Plot. Now, you can only expect so much plot from Superjail, but I always look into plot and character developement. This totally had that for me. It made me wonder what the hell the Warden is thinking about Alice. UHM DOES HE LIKE THE BOY OR GIRL PART OF HER? I DON'T EVEN. I mean, we've always known Alice is a man (...uh kind of), but I wonder if the Warden didn't realize that for  the last 20 episodes. I dunno, seems like something he would do.

3. The fact that this episode ended on a cliffhanger made me VERY VERY VERY happy. MISTREEEESSSS HYYEEESSSS. But for some reason I'm thinking this will be like Time Police where it's a two-part deal and then BAM the season is over. If this is the case, I'm going to cry and beg for a season 3. SUPERJAIL ISN'T OVER YET, MAN. 

Mostly though, I agree with you itsacoaster. I've loved this season already, but this episode in particular seems like it's really kicking off things to an awesome start. And by start I mean end, and a start of a season 3. I want my season 3.

Apparently the ratings have been pretty good.

I didn't realize this was the season finale! I'm glad that the season went out on a good note. I'm totally for another season.

You know, some guys are into the "Alice" kind of thing. Don't ask me why, but I don't think it's that uncommon, what, with the Internet and rampant pornography everywhere and everything. Maybe the Warden is that kind of guy. From his mannerisms I wouldn't be surprised.

Good capture for Jailbot at the beggining. I love how The Warden set them up for, "the adventure of a life sentence."

The snake kills were great, and sunburnt Warden was priceless.

I almost died when I saw the Mistress again. XD I kinda knew we would probably see her again in the episode, since you see a pic of Cherice on Jared's nightstand. Kinda foreshadowing right there. And the ending had me going: "OMG! CLIFFHANGER! WE NEED A SEASON THREE NOW!" Cause I now want to see how the Warden will get out of this mess with the Mistress now.

Oh, and I'm a bit worried about Jailbot. D: We didn't see what happened to him after he got struck down by lightening. Alll the more reason why AS should renew for a third season. :3

I loved this episode. I loved Season 2, but this really managed to mix the things that made season 1 and season 2 stand out and equally memorable. I hope they make a season 3, I was geeking out about it everywhere and still am. I think that season 3 would be awesome if it ever happens, I really see so much potential left in this show--and cliffhanger, OF COURSE.

I believe this is the second to last episode in the season.

They're most likely going to do what they did with Time Police, make a part 1 and part 2.
I have a feeling next week we're in for an amazing season finale of Superjail!

According to Wikipedia, this is the last one of the ten episodes. Next week, they're airing "Best Friends Forever" again.

YEAH, THAT REALLY WAS A GREAT EPISODE!

The fact that it ended on such an epic cliffhanger makes me really want Season 3! But that "other" Titmouse production Metalocalypse also often has cliffhangers for season finales. Maybe Superjail! will even pull a Code Geass and just reboot for the first episode of the new season, then show how that crazy story that was started in this awesome season finale wrapped up in the 2nd episode of the new season.

And about the Warden and Alice - the Warden looked pretty shocked at Alice's junk, so he was probably oblivious all this time. And after the end credits, we see a quick shot of Jailbot lying on the ground, then quickly awakening and hovering off - so that answers that.  And they're really seemed to work out the animation with this episode, it was great, and the mixture of a jam-packed plot and random violence made it good.

I really loved this episode. This and Ghosts are probably my favorites of season 2. Also probably the goriest episode of this season. By what Christy was saying in that interview sounded like they were trying to get a season 3 so hopefully that all works. Also hope we dont have to wait 3 years for it. xD

I couldn't tell either.  I just assumed they were talking about the episodes that were already airing, because it seemed too early to greenlight it for another season, particularly for Adult Swim who seems to be terribly slow about these things.

I agree, and it's a shame it took them until the last couple episodes to get into a rhythm with the animation.

Oh wait - then this was seriously the season finale? There HAS to be a Season 3 then. You don't leave off on a cliffhanger like that without continuing the series - that would be torture! Hopefully we don't have to wait forever to get season 3, I'd probably cry.
 

I can't see them waiting a very long time for a Season 3 - wouldn't that be a bad choice as far as ratings go? If ratings are high right now, and there's a good amount of people watching Superjail - wouldn't you want to get cracking on season 3 (that is if the show is renewed)? I don't know much about business as far as television goes but my common logic tells me that Season 3 (hopefully) should not be too far in the horizon. Maybe we can expect Season 3 in the fall?

There seems to be little method to Adult Swim's madness, to outside observers. First: if you remember Stroker and Hoop, that show ended on a cliffhanger but it wasn't renewed. So it's not really a guarantee of anything, per se.

Second: Adult Swim can sometimes take years to air a new season of a show. It really depends less on ratings and more on how quickly the show can get produced. We waited almost two and a half years between the last episode of Superjail season 1 and the first episode of season 2. There have been similar waiting periods between seasons of The Venture Bros. and The Boondocks. Sometimes it can take forever for the network to DECIDE to renew the series. I think it was over a year between the end of Lucy, the Daughter of the Devil and news that it was canceled.

I can almost guarantee that we won't see a Season 3 (if any) this fall. Maybe next year.

Well, shoot! I guess I'll have to be patient and keep lurking around these boards for a year! I'm trying to think of WHAT I have to look forward to on adult swim now. Superjail re-runs. That's probably it. Perhaps they will release a season 2 dvd? I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
