Another attempt....

to keep this board alive. But HOW CAN I if every Big O topic that I can think of has already been discussed?!

(not to mention, Big O has the lowest amount of board posts out of all in the anime section boards).

IMO, Season 1 > Season 2.  Do wish there was some explanation for where some of the Megadei from Season 1 came from.  They don't all seem to be Union.  Dorothy 1 was clearly home-grown, as was Constance and Beck-Victory Deluxe (ironically, that shortens to VD:smileytongue:).  We see where Dorothy 1 and Constance were built, but we never, to the best of my knowledge, see where Beck VD was assembled in the city.

Get the feeling that Alex didn't make the Megadei repair/construction facilities under the subway... that he found them.  Also leads to wonder how those facilities are linked to the subterranean base in Negotiating with the Dead.  Assuming that since the various diabled Megadei chassis aren't seen transported on the surface, that there has to be some link.

Speaking of disabled Megadei: notice that none of them seem to have taken severe damage in what are typically the critical areas in the series.  Carnot, the big boxy robot with the jaws, did take a chromebuster hit to the head along with an air/hydraulic piston hit to the head.  However, that's not what "killed it."  Robespierre and Fouche took air/hydraulic piston hits to the torso, but seem to have survived.  What seems to have killed the units were rocket anchors to the torsos.  Not really sure how that's supposed to work... yes, the Megadei do seem to have a "spine" of sorts.  However, you don't see them slumped over at the waist following the attack. (Also, wouldn't Big Fau's torso have stopped the one attack?... Same for Big Fau's arm assemblies?)  The three Megadei seem to  hang fine from the ceiling.

Everytime I see Dastun... I'm reminded of the line from Split Second... We need Bigger Guns... Big F***ing Guns.
