Big-O digitally enhanced?

I've seen all episodes of Season 1 at least once, and Season 2 several times.  The last times I've viewed Season 2 on AS, it seems that the image quality is far superior to the first time I've seen them.  Esp. tonight's episode with the sunset over the wrecked ship and ruined skyscrapers.   Now, I've just got a crummy old 20" SDTV, but even with that I've noticed a big difference.

Am I seeing things, or has some tune-up been done?  If so, I wonder if it's carried over to any DVD releases.

I think with the last time Big O was on at a decent time (1:30 AM Saturdays in Spring 2011) they MIGHT have made some digital enhancements, but I don't know for sure how that would have even been possible.
This Saturday Night, on [adult swim]: TOONAMI'S BACK, BlTCHES!! A New Bleach Episode (255) kicks us off at Midnight, followed by the SERIES PREMIERES of Deadman Wonderland at 12:30 and Casshern Sins at 1! Then, we've got 3 back-to-back classics: FMA:B Episode 32 "Fuhrer's Son" at 1:30, followed by GITS: 2nd Gig Episode 17 "Red Data" at 2 and Cowboy Bebop Episode 15 "My Funny Valentine" at 2:30! Also, watch lots of [as] ACTN shows including Durarara!!, The Big O, and more online any time you want at http://video.adultswim.com/action/index.html

Elsewhere: New season of ThunderCats continues Saturday at 9:30 AM on CN! Avatar: The Legend of Korra continues Saturdays at 11 AM on Nickelodeon!

Just seems sharper is all.  And trust me, it ain't my TV set :smileytongue:  I have a 20" regular-def Wal-Mart special TV.  Think it was one of the last CRT sets sold :smileytongue:

Well, I can't speak for your TV set or anything of the sort.. but I certainly can inform you that, were the show done on film in SD quality, it can likely be stored and updated to a higher quality. Thus where "remastered" comes in for certain shows. However, there is also that lovely "stretch to 16:9" option after they've converted it, which makes it look nearly new.

I.e Inuyasha of 2006 does not look like the re-air of today.

Would love to see complete Big-O on Blue Ray though

That would be interesting indeed.

Too bad I don't have BRD or an HD-TV.  Hell, I only have basic cable :smileytongue:  Only got that because I needed internet access, and since I needed a cell phone for work, I couldn't see paying for landline + DSL + cell, so went cable route.  Plus, when you live in BFE, DSL might not be all that reliable.
