What was done? no one has any idea what the hell that was all about, they can't purposely make the most confusing episode of all time then leave us hanging.

There were tons of plot lines and seeds for a next season, for example all that stuff about Roscoe and his C-D and all the memories of the future. tons of stuff.

I've been to the surface and nothing is there.

If you go to the comic con website and click on anime they have something called Big O II ...... i have no idea what they are trying to get here, could this be the next season of big O? i could be mistaken though. go and check it out if you want and discuss.
InuYasha is finally over, and as a symbol of what this anime has meant to me over the years, I will ALWAYS have an Inu-icon on the boards 6/18/2008 [MANGA] 03/29/2010 [ANIME]

Big O II is the official name of episodes 14-26 which have already aired on CN.

Sadly, The Big O II is what the second season was called and is NOT an indicator to a third season.

Ha ha..nevermind...Zopwx2 beat me to it!

wen i said i was done it was a way of saying, that was it i was totally lost.  anddd how do u know they were leaving us hanging?  mayb in some crazy **bleep** way no one understands that solved all the questions there were.  if u got questions about the ending ask adult swim aparently they helped them make the second season.

whoops sorry, I wasn't really argueing with you.

The bottom line is the ending of season 2 is not fully understood by anyone becuase they just plain out don't tell us enough about anything to piece it all togther whithout making stuff up.

Adult Swim doesn't write the show, they just helped with the finiancial and other important aspects of the show.

Plus the writers were told to leave the ending ambiguous (sp?) in order to set it up for more episodes if they wanted.

If you check out the Smith Mansion over at Paradigm-city.com/forums you'll find a theory about the last episode from just about every member who's ever posted over there but every theory has it's flaws. As of yet no one theory has fit perfectly. We just don't have all  (or enough) information. Another problem is that the last episode brought it's share of questions. What's with that underwater machine Roger saw before Dorothy came to save him? What was that room Angel was in? Was in Big Venus' cockpit? Was it outside of Paradigm? Was it a metaphor? Was that even Angel? How are Angel and Angel Rosewater related? How is Angel Rosewater related to Gorden and Alex? How was Dorothy able to wake up without her memory (effectly without her brain)? This last one isn't a very big question, we know why Dorothy woke up, but how exactly she was able to do it is still a bit of a mystery. Is Paradigm a holodeck? What are the people of Paradigm? Are they part of a Paradigm program?

There's just too many questions. And up until act 26 'The Big O' had been pretty good about answering little detail questions like these. No, we definitely need a season 3 (and potentially 4).

I've watched as full grown men talk for days including every religous, philosphical, and mythical reference and every possible scrap of evidence from the show and we still don't even have a real basic agreement on what happend at the end.

Its not like we have loose ends, someone just pulled all threads apart at the end.

I think that's an excellent way of putting it. Those silly, incredible writers...

I'd love to read all the speculation on the boards as well as the fanfic, including Clockwork Tomato's work at Paradigm City. Heck, he's doing two season's worth himself! But I want to isolate myself to write my own work.

I wish the board had more Big-O avatars. I've fallen so in love with the show that I should switch. But old Nick Wolfwood just has that perfect angle, and attitude.

the later half of the second season was just so suspesnfull and crazy I actually through the remote at the tv when I saw the "to be continued" on act 24.

And then when the played they played stripes instead of playing act 26 all the forums exploded and every single thread was all "WTF HAPPEND TO BIG O!!!!#@$@#$^$!@$@^$$%*&%&($$@#$~~~!!!!"

Good times.

The end of season two does the same thing that season one did. You watch both season and you're pretty sure you've got a firm grasp of reality as it exists in Paradigm and then Konaka just pulls the rug out from under you.

Were the fans pulling their hair out as much over R-D as they are over The Show Must go On?

I was majorly pulling out my hair after seeing Act 26. Those last 30 seconds made no sense to me.

I need a Season 3! I get "tomato" headaches thinking about the ending.

R-D was such a weird show for the first season. Gripping, mystifying, intriguing, mind boggling. But what is especially weird is the fact that Sunrise decided to STOP AT 13?! The heck?! Now I know why the fans threw such a fit for that second season. And man, if you ever doubt that a sequel will ever be any good, keep in mind that there was a pause of a couple of years between seasons! Season 2 was fantastic! I just got done watching both seasons over the weekend, and my God, what a ride!! My head is swimming, and I'm being driven to write from the juice of it.

Season 3 will not sukk! GIVE US SEASON 3!!

Big O ran on some satellite channel in japan and they ran out of support after the first 13 episodes.

I guess japan wasn't digging all the influences from western culture or the fact that the main charachter wasn't some whiny 13 year old kid who b.itches about not wanting to fufill his destiny and then at the end he does it anyway..... but thats beside the point.

They always wanted to do more, so when it came to america it was a big enough hit that CN funded more episodes, but tampered with the creative process and told them to make it vague enough for more episodes.

Now we want to make sure they deliver on those episodes.
