A page or two back there should be a 5 page topic on this, its my belief that since they got the money to move to the suburbs from an inheritance, I'd say its safe to say that their parents were killed, maybe gunned down in the ghetto but thats just a random guess.

On the episode where Riley leanrs to spray paint, he paints a picture of his mom and dad at their wedding on the house

It was mentioned but not in a lot of  detail.  The boys' parents died in a car accident.  That is where the money came from that their grandfather use to buy the house in Woodcrest.

Aaron has always been mum about the parents, save for Caesar's 'mama' jokes I've never heard anything. The inheritance thing can also mean the money Grandad was planning to leave the boys someday. The first episode implies this when Huey mentions Grandad working his whole life for that house.

You are completely correct. It was a car accident. It is mentioned in the actual comic strip; Huey remembers both of his parents clearly, while Riley only has faint memories of his mother. As for the move to Woodcrest, it came from Grandpa's retirement package. If you buy/read the Boondocks collections, they go into some of the boy's history.

I doubt they got gunned down in the "ghetto" I think they were well educated folks that were probably in some sort of accident. Huey is named after Huey P. Newton and for them to come up with that name they had to be literate and probably radicals themselves. I would think that in any case the CIA or FBI had something to do with them being "gone"

Most people agree that it is grandad and grandma, Huey gets shocked but doesn't cry or show much emotion after the first look at the picture, if it was his parent I think he would have shown more emotions.
