I don't really use the word. I don't care if anyone else uses it either. I personally cuss like a effing sailor, I just don't use words like cracker or **derp** or **derp**. Some of my fellow black people are indeed niggas if not ignorant niggas. I could go into detail here or write a blog about it over at the Laviathans Cave.

Me and my niggas use **derp** all the time. Besides, most of the people offended by it are just sensative **derp**.
I find that offensive...

Yeah, well don't worry. It's been a while since I said that and that was months ago. I don't know why I thought that at the time. I don't think that way anymore. The way I see it anybody can say it and I wouldn't care.

Depends on the context and who you're around and stuff like that. If you're around people who won't get offended by it, then go ahead and use it. And really I'm fine with people using it in any way that they honestly think is appropriate. Like, if you're a racist then go ahead and be a racist. No need to hide it from me at least. And if you're the type of person who likes making potentially offensive jokes, then go ahead and make those jokes. People should be able to say whatever they feel comfortable saying just so long as they accept the potential social repercussions if they take it too far. Only thing that bugs the crap out of me is when people use the word and then get mad when other people use it. Either the word's offensive or it's not. Make up your mind.

Now, im white, and hopefully my insight is accepted, but , i think if were going to get past the point of racism, which will never be complete, but if most of us non-racists that use the "N" word in a harmless fashion, say as to your friend as just another way of saying, "wudup homie" then IMO, it will cease to retain its racist meaning. It will be so over used ( know what i mean) that if the incident does occur that someone decides to use it in a derogatory manner, the person can just laugh it off. Now iunno, that may sound completely silly, and coming from a white guy prolly isn't the most truth filled statement, because i am incapable of fully grasping the severity of that word. But its just an idea, to live with a word, that isn't going away, but its not impossible to deal with. Hope that makes sense. in no way am i trying to lower the severity of that word either.

the word doesn't have the same meaning as it did in the past. it's a word used by black people to basically shove it in the white man's face and use it in a friendly manner, which pretty much rids of the negative aspect of the word, but don't you dare use it as an insult, it's just downright racist. color doesn't mean much imo, it's all about the context you use it in.

Yeah, it is pretty maddening when someone who constantly uses the word turns around and goes on ape**pickle** on a white guy who uses it. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever no matter how you try to justify it.

Personally, i don't give two **grok**s.
But i have a bunch of black friends, and their white friends will walk up to them and be like "ITS A **grok**"
And they're like, "It's a cracker!"
Cuz my friends aren't easily offended. They joke around like that.
But ya know, i see it as like... with us, we don't use it to offend, and i actually have asked a few black people about it. Some of them bring up points as like the meaning's changed or how if they keep saying it in frendly terms then it wont be considered a negative word anymore, and there will be less things to call black people to offend them.
But i don't think you should just call someone a **grok** walking down the street like that.
unless your black.
And i hate the, "Well if you can say it why can't i?"
Well... its cuz your white -__-
But again, i don't care at all.

That reminds me of the "That is gay" commercials that say its offensive... seriously, i have heard my gay friends say "Thats so gay" PLENTY of times. The people i know who are offended by that you know, tell their **grok** story and then they use the same thing. I think the meanings changed and people should accept that but ya know, some people are still offended. I'm not easily offended though by anything, so whatevs G.
