I heard a rumor on the general comedy discussion that said season 3 will be the final one for Boondocks. Please Lord tell me that's not true.

Hopefully it's not true, But I did read somewhere that John Witherspoon was on sirus radio station, and he said that there will be another season and they are making a movie

I don't see how they wouldn't capitalize on its rising popularity.

I think adult swim didn't realize how popular it was in the first place.

I actually did not realize how popular the show was until the third season was announced, but if you ask me the show is pretty popular. I haven't met anybody yet who doesn't like The Boondocks besides my mom and my grandmother, but that's only because it's either you don't understand the show or you seen bits and pieces of the show,thought it was just a crazy show, and never really sat down and watch it

Yeah, this show always got the most views when new episodes were airing this season. Even when showing reruns throughout the season, it always got the highest ratings of the week. People love this show, have grown up with it, and buy up what little merchandise is available.

It seems that Aaron McGruder wants to work more on the comic and doesn't want to do the show and the comic at the same time. At least, that's what I've read. Maybe, he'll greenlight another season in a year or two.

I watched the show one time when it first came out and didn't like it at all. Then there was the Tyler Perry controversy that I saw on Black Voices. I decided to check the show out again to be fair about my opinion about it. At first I thought the show was good in how it represented us and how real it was, but I didn't care for the voices of Huey and Riley as I felt they sounded to girly. Then Regina King must have kick up her game, because Huey and Riley's voices became more like boys and were different from each other. I simply LOVE the show. But, I am so afraid that right when it has perfected itself it will be cancelled. I really hope that with all the crap on Adult Swim, they will keep the best show on their network!  I don't think I would watch the network if not for The Boondocks.

I mean I like Family Guy and King of the Hill. I can watch Family Guy episodes over and over again, just like I can Boondocks, and King of the Hills relaxes me and I use it to put me to sleep. I DVR Boondocks and King of the Hill. I DVR Boondocks to laugh! I DVR King of the Hill because it helps me sleep.

PLEASE KEEP BOONDOCKS AND MAKE NEW EPISODES. And Regina King deserves an honor and award for what she's doing and how much she has grown in her voice over on this show!
