Who's Space Ghost anyway? He's just some no name, third rate, hack superhero who had a crappy cartoon in the 60s.

Thank you for making the FIFTH "this show ####" thread in its SECOND week of existence. You really know how to give a show a chance.

I'd say something about patience, but I know you'd only hear pay. Also, you look like a one time poster... so. Good Riddance.

I'm with you man. Like I said over in IB, why did we waste money on this? We could have put that money to better use funding Toonami. Or if we wanted a talk show type thing, we could have gotten new eps of Space Ghost: Coast to Coast. Because really, who the hell is Eric Andre anyway? He's some no name, third-rate, hack of a comedian. Space Ghost is far better than he could ever hope to be.
[as] DOES NOT EQUAL anime/Toonami. [as] and Toonami are two separate programming blocks on the same channel and sure, they share a number of execs, but that does not make them the same, and frankly you should be grateful you even got the programming block back. Also, if you knew anything about Space Ghost, you would know George Lowe has "retired" that voice. So no more Space Ghost. THE END.

That's half the point of the show (aside from your opinionated analysis of his style)... Also, Hannibal Buress might be one of the funniest ("known") standups out there right now. But no, you're right. Two shows is enough to prove the execs made a bad decision. You know, [as] is really good at picking these shows that take only one (maaaaaayyyyyyybe two) episode(s) to prove the ####... maybe its because they've figured out the best way to show they hate you.

Basically Gaynor's logic is, "hmmmm, if I don't know Eric Andre, then he must be bad!"
I'll be honest, Eric Andre wasn't even on my radar before this show but I think that's a good thing for the show's continuity.
If the host was, say, some well-known actor like Eddie Murphy, it wouldn't have the same small-time aura and public-access feel.

Agreed. And while he wasn't on my radar I do remember thinking, 'Oh that guy' when the show was announced. I can't remember if was bit parts in B comedies or commercials, but I seen him (verry little) before.

before this show aired I looked him up and saw a video of his standup....it was unbearable. Why, and how does you get paid to do anything?

Listen, We ARE glad that we got Toonami back. And frankly, a hell of a lot more people care about it than this waste of time. The money that was wasted on this garbage could have been given to the guys making Toonami so that we could have more promos, animation, and hell, maybe even another show. And for the record, Williams Street, which makes and owns [as], owns Toonami. So it's the same pool of money that gets divided among the producers.
When it comes to George Lowe, yes, I was aware that he "retired" Space Ghost. But a little money thrown his way could have easily changed that. Go ask Brett Favre sometime.
Now, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that this show is crap. It's maybe going to last a season and then never be heard from again. The ratings for this show will be nothing to talk about and the only people who "watch" this show, will be some stoner college kids who left the TV on while they got high and fell asleep.

Wow, looks like I already said that.
Yeah, because nobody thought of that, especially when considering a relaunch of Cartoon Planet.
Man, if only I believed in saying lol.
Finally, let me clear something up as I feel you didn't quite understand this point. Toonami was started as a means to get anime on CN. [as] (in the form of, initially, only Space Ghost and then eventually Brak, ATHF, Sealab and Birdman) was created to get comedic shows on CN. Now, arguably, going live action is a step away from their roots, but the fact remains that [as] has, is and always will be a programming block for COMEDY. The "action" aspect of the programming block only exists because Mike Lazzo faught to keep anime on tv because he knew there would be people like you that wanted to see that kind of (in my opinion) garbage. So, here's an idea, how about you stop coming into the comedy section to #### about the only reason you still have "enjoyable" programming on this channel, and we'll stay out of your section (though, I don't think many of us venture over there to complain, because we have the decency to understand the concept behind the "Different Strokes" theme song. In fact (I can't point to where, I just remember reading it in one of the many "I hate T&E" threads), that Mike Lazzo himself said Awesome Show was the epitome of [as], so "crap" like this WILL NOT be going anywhere anytime soon. Deal with it.
edited because I forgot the video link... what an idiot I can be.

I should probably also point out that comedy, or rather what people find funny, is subjective: just because you're not laughing doesn't mean that only "stoners" are.

You know who else's standup is "unbearable"? Tim Heidecker's. It's intentional and also (at least in Eric Andre's case) a character that's being performed. Do you think Larry the Cable Guy is a real person? It's a bit, albeit and exaggerated bit.

I'm sorry, Overcast... I got carried away and took some of this trollishness (left over from another thread) out on you. You haven't come in here insulting the show or anybody, you've been rational (at least as far as I can tell) and don't deserve the above comment like most anime fans. The only reason I'm not taking it down/editing it is because of the same mentality one has when they leave a dead rat/insect where it was killed: a "warning" to others like it (and we all know how well those "warning"s work).

Thank you itsa.
Also, let me say, I'm still not a HUGE fan of LS, nor am I sure where I stand with The Eric Andre Show (as its only had two episodes air), but I know that rushing to judgment is the biggest reason some shows don't even get a real chance. That said, Saul and Fat Guy probably weren't going anywhere, but it would have been nice if they had been given the chance to fully develop at least one idea before getting rushed into the ####can.
