This show is almost as stupid as Patton Oswald's stand up. There have been a lot of stupid shows on adult swim that are still kinda funny. This show is absolutely mindless. How anyone could watch this crap is beyond me.  I actually got angry at how ridiculously idiotic it is. Nobody who is involved with this travesty should be paid, in fact they should be receiving disability benefits, because they are all clearly mentally retarded!!!

I expected SO much more from the hugely talented cast. It's AWFUL...GET RID OF IT!!!!!

I'm not trying to be funny or amusing...which is 2 things that the show is also trying not to be.

I love it. I think it's a brilliant mix of satire and gruesome absurdity. In this day of political correctness and social sensitivity how often do you get to laugh at people for being dumb? And not just a chuckle, but a full-bodied belly laugh followed by horrific dry heaving.

it's a great miniseries. also, it's kind of cute that there are people who want to complain about it, here, or anywhere. not only does it take up a mere 11 minutes of your beloved programming time on the teevee, but it's only on for six nights. boo hoo. i feel that all PFFR related work for [as] has gone above and beyond the rest of the channel's programming as of late. should i go comment on threads for the shows i don't like about how i don't like them and they're a waste of my time? alright!!!

What exactly is it lampooning? Seriously? I want to know why this show is called "politically incorrect surreal comedy". All I see is another "REDNECK ARE DUMB! HURRRR!" with lots of inbreeding and poorly made sex jokes. Did they see Squidbillies (the Southern version of 12 oz mouse) being mildly successful and decide that they'd try jumping on the Hillbilly bandwagon as well?

I'm starting to think AS will give anyone money if they make them chuckle a little. 12 oz mouse, Drinky Crow, Mongo Wrestling, Tim and Eric/Tom Goes to See The Mayor, and so much more. All boring trash that goes to it's greatest lengths to just be gross and offensive to get some cheap laughs... and fails magnificently.

I think they tried to fill the hole left when All My Children was canceled.

Just because the story is set in a small backwoods town and the central plot points all revolve around incest doesn't mean it can't have far reaching political analogies. I think this show is a satire of the American political system and the moral bankruptcy of its players.

Totally agree. I despise this "crap". Give me about 5 more reruns of King of the Hill or American Dad and call it a night. I live in Kentucky so it doesn't "offend" me that it's redneck based or whatever you'd call it. What offends me is how stupid the show is in general. I feel my IQ dropping at each line that's dropped.

And for the people who say "Then don't watch it". Considering that the majority of TV **beast** anyways, it's kind of hard NOT to watch the crap. And yes, I totally just complained on my first post. My point: this show **beast** please take it off air.

from the two episodes I've seen I thought it was pretty good. some great lines throughout. I also liked how Jon Glaser reprised his character from Wonder Showzen.
