Editing down the Boosh

Since there is only one episode of Boosh online each week (or so)... I turned to other sites to watch them (and catch up), cause I just started watching it over the summer.   Anyway,  I noticed that on [as] the episodes are edited down.  I was watching the Nightmare of Milky Joe the other night, and the WHOLE Isolation song was edited out (except in the credits).  So, i guess I'm writing this is becuase I'm pissed about missing jokes.

Does anyone know why have to do this?  (cause I don't see [as] as the type to maliciously edit out jokes for their own amusement)

AS edits them because American t.v calls for comercials...in Britain they don't have comercials

they run the show solid all the way through. In America they have to find places to put comercials

in so they end up cutting the sh*t out of Boosh so that the show doesn't run for longer than a half

hour. Its very stupid I know.

I've always wondered that too...idk how they get their money...maybe they advertise after the show

is over. Idk what they do but I wish American tv would to the same.

I actually saw a bump a while back that said people enjoy a show more if there ARE commercials in it.   Something like appreciating it more.

The BBC is funded by the license fee.  The license fee is mandatory for any household that receives a tv broadcast.  It currently costs £145.50 per year per household.  This adds up to a huge amount of money which is spent on tv, radio, and online services which are ad free.

Late to the thread, but: I've always hated the edits, especially when they cut out a joke, but leave in the punchline (the whole first curtain chat about Howard's moves, and him putting a move on Vince...that works!).

It was even more infuriating when they later started airing The Office, and extended the time to 45 minutes so they didn't have to edit it. Why can't they reshow Boosh like that? They apparently have the technology!

Not that I can't watch my DVDs. But there are always people new to The Boosh and [as], and they could lure them in with uncut episodes (and jokes). Imagine that!

I've started just telling people to look for another site that has it, cause they are even edited down in [as] video section.

yeah seriously, why can't they just take up three of their mini-blocks (15 minutes) to air the full episodes?

Yeah I really really hate that they edit it down. First of all, The Mighty Boosh Is so funny and when they edit it, for some reason, ALL of the best jokes are cut out. Second, I've tried showing it to friends and they don't like it because they don't get. it. I try to explain to them that it's because they cut parts of it out and the punchline is there...but there was no joke explaining the punchline...so it's not as funny as it should be. I'll laugh because I know what was supposed to happen, and they look at me like i'm.....an alabaster retard! Lol. Anyways, I love The Boosh and all of it's Booshy goodness and having it on DVD is really the way to go! Sure you can go to websites and watch it free but, having it in your posession is way better.
