I can't stand The Oblongs..... sure, life may not be all anime (though we're going to hell for saying that), but the Oblongs aren't really that good... I tend to just zone out when it comes on

I like Home Movies and Oblongs about the same. Let's carve out an hour or so of anime and make room for more comedy!

Oblongs leaving was not due to Home Movies. It was supposed to be replaced with Mission Hill, but then HM bombed on weeknights ( *sniff* ), but it couldn't be taken off the schedule. Hence, Mission Hill was put off until November and HM took the 12:30 AM spot. Just saying, don't equate the two events.

As for quality...

Home Movies > Mission Hill > Oblongs

the oblongs have been cancled since last october.Adult swim was just playing re-runs and unaire eps.At one point of of the cards between the epsoides said that they were thinking of ordering new eps. but that never happened.Maybe if people complain enough they'll put it back on the air.

Oh yeah i e-mailed angus (The oblongs creator) and he said he also saw the card but never got any more info.

Just for the record, this taperdude DID tape all the Oblongs episodes. I don't tape everything, but this show does have something unique and wonderefully special. The first two eps were a little rough around the edges, but that is to expect with any new show. The Oblongs fits alongside perfectly with the "AS" Williams St. shows, even though the Oblongs obviously has a bigger budget. I wish the show a long run, and will be hoping for new ep's someday.

(BTW the company who puts the show together also did the live action shows "Drew Carey" and "Norm" among others.) However, if you didn't like those shows, still give the Ob's a chance the next time it airs. Just one of the many fine shows on "AS."

The little girl on the show made me feel really bad when she asked someone if they didn't love her because of the thing on her head....it was funny as hell, but I kinda felt bad for laughing.
