I'm excited. And I think it'll fare extremely well ratings-wise, which is always good.

I had just about convinced myself this was a hoax.

To the detractors I'll just say, it only has 2 seasons. If you don't like it, it'll be over sooner than you think.

This will be interesting though, to say the least.

What good is wealth and fame? Fine clothes and diamon rings? They just don't mean a thing if you ain't got love!

What good is fancy cars? Rubbing elbows with the stars? They just wont get you far if you ain't got loooove!

i love the fact [as] is showing this. one of the best shows on tv ever. up there with battlestar, mash and simpsons.

do i think it belongs on IFC or Bravo or A&E? ...maybe.

but [as] has been smart enuff to raid brit comedy for awhile now, like Look Around You and Mighty Boosh. (since [as]'s comedic attempts as of late are not that stellar. (ie Xavier, Delocated, Fat Guy, Assy McGee, Saul... i like tim n eric, but only for 5 minute bursts. lol)

you know what i would love to see [as] do, is run Torchwood with "tongue planted firmly in cheek" due to John Barrowman's modern day Shatner performances.  lol

now do i agree with how many live action shows [as] has been running lately... on principle no, cuz i appreciate how they USED to showcase hilarious, absurd, edgy, experimental etc etc cartoons geared for adults.

BUT since adult swim is now one of the few places that actually run these really good brit comedies (cuz even BBC America doesnt run them anymore, i guess their programmers think we're all donut eating feebs who tune into the BBC for more bad reality tv and cheesy soaps) i will leave it as undecided, cuz i love some toons, but i love good brit/aussie shows too. and if [as] is gonna run the original office, they should run the original aussie Kath n Kim, Australian of the Year, and Big Girl's Blouse.

oh well, i guess the new guy will stfu now. :smileywink:

This looks severely less funny than the American version.  I know I'll get ** Yo Jo e! ** for saying that but I don't really care.

It does show us there is more to the Brits than the Britcoms that air on PBS. :smileywink:

They both have their moments.

Nothing really to discuss, more British Comedy for [as], next up Mr. Bean!

Really though, why is [as] becoming everything that every other network is trying to be? Merging in with the live action crowd, next thing you know we'll all be watching such fabulous sh!t as The Cougar on [as]....

Just something else I won't watch honestly, god how disappointing really.

This network is either going to be the basterd child of Fox and called [Fox Georgia] or the offspring of PBS....Je-sus I'd rather watch the BBC Evening news on [as]....

i can't believe the people who brought me cowboy bebob, samuria champloo and the mighty boosh want me to sit through the office. i watched saved by the bell with a tongue in my cheek and i even waded through tim and eric. but i will not, will not **BLEEP** on my television by watching the office. i will refuse all [adult swim] reruns untill the office leaves. i do not care. i remember when bumps were funny and when they stopped it was okay cause the content was still **BLEEP**. i visited funimation where Fullmetal was made. if you sacrafice the past you will sacrafice more than you know. and if this is another attempt to annoy the complainers with more airhorns then i suggest you listen to some oysterhead. good **BLEEP**... i never was in control of what goes on. but still, alienation doesn't sound so bad. seriously you make me want to go, oh nevermind. maybe you'll be better off without me. life without television....might be zen. laters -pyla

It's the British Office, which is different from the American one and isn't even in the same league as Saved By The Bell. Does it fit in with AS? Probably not. But I don't think it's an unthinkable acquisition. As far as British shows go, this is probably one of the best picks they could have made IMO.

The British Office is the greatest thing ever on [AS].  Please bring Benny Hill on Friday nights too.  This would be icing on the cake.  And to all you naysayers on the British shows or the Office on [AS], go watch cartoons on BBC.
