What are your first impressions on the original BBC Office?

Not very entertaining...I could barely watch the whole thing through without flipping inbetween Comedy Central and Adult Swim...BBC has had better

I had been marathoning The IT Crowd.. this was a decent sized step down.

I went from watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia for a few hours to watching The Office, and it was a pretty big difference there, so I guess that's why I wasn't too enthralled about the episode. It was good. But it wasn't as great as I'd hoped.

But I will keep watchin', of course, no doubt.

I suppose since it was hyped up so much i expected better, i'll probably just keep watching to see if it gets better. It was funny but only for a few moments through out the whole episode. which was longer than i expected.

Just found out this was a comedy. Not impressed, but I wont dismiss it that quick. Another episode or two, and I should know if it does it for me or not. I never 'got' british humor, ie I watched 4 episodes of mighty boosch before I realized it was supposed to be a comedy.

Itake that back, I do like Mr Bean, Benny Hill, and montey Python, and there was a british science spoof on AS awhile back that was kinda funny...

as a huge fan of the american office, i welcome this as it is, and enjoy noticing where the american office got its idea's from, it trips me out seeing all the different characters british counter parts, dwight, micheal, jim, pam, creed, haven't seeen stanly yet, but i missed the first 11min segment..

its gonna get better, there was alot of character developement in this episode,

an once they've established they're personalities a bit they'l really turn up the funny

Dont give up on it just yet, this was just the first episode, which is mostly just introducing the characters. Trust me, this show gets SO **BLEEP** GOOD! Gervais is **BLEEP** brilliant as David Brent, you thought Michael Scott was the world's biggest **BLEEP**, wait until you **BLEEP** see David Brent. So fantastic and cringe-worthy.

the first episode is the worst one. I watched them all years ago and it got better. never liked it as much as the american version, but the boss is just as funny as the NBC version. I guess I just like dwieght and kevin more they really make the american version.

Um really? The Office? Don't get me wrong. I mean I like the British (original) version but really do not feel it fits with this crowd. British humor only comes in two forms wacky IE Monty Python, The Mighty Boosh or VERY dry IE the Office or Faulty Towers. Just don't see a fanbase who enjoy shows like sqidbillies and superjail getting dry humor. Maybe the Anime crowd. We are a bit odd. (Some of us still watch Dr. Who)

I can't believe that adult swim is showing the bbc office. the american version is horrible and now we have the even LESS entertaining version of the office to complain about. Thanks adult swim for another live action show at 5 am that people wont watch.
