if you have a question about a specific ban or thread action (such as:  "why did you ban me jerk?", "hey jerk, what you do my thread for?"  "I'm angry because I hate you, please explain", etc) those may be directed to the "Hey Mod/Why mod?/whatever it's called currently" thread floated in this very folder.

And - that is not confusing so just do it.

This thread is for more yer general topics regarding moderation, guidelines, the community in general, generalized/generic questions for moderators that don't involve your ban or what they did to your thread, etc.

And on a serious note, about the abuse round robin....I've heard of an option that allows the mod to get all abuse reports. I'm almost positive Arcturus has that turned on, but who else does?

yes, but they've said in other threads where this was brought up, that they only do it in occasions where one of the members reports the pm as a problem.

seriously, I wish there wouldn't be any need to get all fired up about butts and boobs. sure an icon with a bare nekkid sexy butt might take away from the message a user is trying to convey while posting, but as far as the brief nudity seen, I wish this place/the channel itself would be more "adult" oriented.

oh and reading the title for this thread made me go cross-eyed.

Hey, imagine how I feel - I gotta go pron hunting through links every day and the fanart based on those particular moments would make my hair curl if it wasn't already too long to 'fro up on me.

With something like what's currently on the front page [which to me is really no different from any of the other "sex" related ALLs other than the animation is more on the realistic side than the usual Peter Griffin offerings] , you could always PM an Admin with a concern if you don't feel like making a thread seeking out others opinions on it. With the site stuff, it's pretty much a guarentee that it's had a look-over by all the possible big-wigs to get posted whereas with the regular users posting things to the boards, often the only filter they go through is their own comfort level which may not be anywhere near the comfort level Legal feels is acceptable for 13 year old eyeballs to see.

Fan art on the CG board tends to get massive scruteny because those are the sorts of pics that I doubt Legal has had access to [or would allow for that matter] . And screenshots have to have the same level of censorship that the episode it's from had - ie, if there's massive blur, that screenshot better also be sporting the massive blur or it's gone. That doesn't mean someone couldn't get into trouble for it but I think it's less likely and / or more overturnable in a calm explanation. And if a pic causes me to scream and close my browser before it's done fully loading - it's gone. There's been a few of those.

I appreciate your input, but I am seriously asking if for no specific reason can a mod open up a private conversation between two members and scan through it.

But if they can do it with a problem I suppose they can do it any old time they please.

Also, if there is a problem PM, are people subject to a ban?

I'm randomly confused by that, because I have the sneaking suspicion that PMs on another account of mine have been read and people have gotten banned over them, but I never reported said people, and I doubt said people reported the convo.

Then again I did just read 1984 recently, so this might be a side effect of that.

Naw, but I thought that one through and I know it's a little hate PM I made at another member that I'm sure he reported. Coincided with what we were talking about so I thought it a little strange.

But I was confusing accounts. This one was temped for that PM to jerkface, while the other was temped out at 10K minutes that after it was done is now perma.

[as] blurs anime vertical smiles on tv!  That said, if someone had posted that type of pic on the CG board, I would probably pull it because the focus of the pic isn't all that obviously on the show. More like it's own show - "5 Seconds in a Britannian's Buttcrack" .

I hate some of the stuff posted on the front page of the website. Like what they have now. That's one reason I don't spend any time looking on it. If my bosses ever looked over my shoulder and saw that on my screen, they'd put a block on this site address. So I skip past it ASAP.
