[Position_Zero]

"1/8" was January 8th, the cards from then were posted for all who missed them, and someone dug up this thread instead of making a new one for all the recent cards.

And this thread date back to before the board switch over so it got chopped up and put back together in the wrong order.

It's not like this thread was my idea, and what's so fun about recording?  Some people still don't know how to use the timer on a VCR but can browse the boards with ease.  And is there a reason you only post in this folder, minus maybe four of your posts? Or are you just waiting for someone to ask you that?

I think it's due to folding thread together that you can't rename this particular thread.

Normally, by altering the first post of a thread, one can actually change the name of the thread as it appears on the thread list.

However, with this particular thread, that doesn't seem to be the case.  I'm going to assume it's because different threads have been folded together, but am not sure.

Another factor:  while the first post of the thread as it appears on the board is Klondike's, the name that registers on the board as the person who created the thread (and posted the first post) is Nu.  So that could be another factor that is preventing the thread from being renamed by renaming the first post.

My suggestion:

you repost the premise of the thread and the guidelines for the thread (no posting and whatnot) in the opening post, be sure to let people know that the current cards for the current viewer card night are at the end of the thread.

On the old board it was easy.  All we had to do was say "new posts begin with post #___" and/or hotlink it.  Lithium isn't quite so simple. 

But here's what you CAN do:  hotlink the message you begin the new cards with like so:

if you want to find the particular message# then just post your new opening message for the new cards, then check the first reply for the message#, then make the link.

hope that doesn't sound too convoluted.  but whattayagonnado?  it's Lithium.

I understand it all, man. And thanks for changing that. Though why it's addressed to me, I don't know. Klondike didn't start it as "to Nu."
So I'll just do the "highlight message" thing to get the URL for the lastest week's posts.

and oh hey - for the record, I actually tried out the "link directly to post" thing several times and it literally works sometimes and doesn't other times.

It's like - *Click* and I go to the post.  Or *click* and I just go to the last page of the thread, or *click* and I go to the top of the page the post is on.  So - go figure (it's a lithium thing).

It is the closest thing we have to good though.  for now.
