ive nver had t click over to'edit as html'.
i guess i should say i use IE now.
(cuz maybe it maks a difference)

Things I use/like:

I like having bookmarks.  I've used those since I started posting on here in '04.  Never (intentionally) made use of subscritions though.

PMs are always cool.

I like the friends list.  I might honestly get a little choked up if you took away all my friends.

Floating options, of course.

I use macros when I feel like it.

I like looking at that "top boards" thing you guys put in at the bottom a little over a year ago, but mainly just to look at the "recent posts."

I'm always using the search/advanced search/user search features.

I've had the verbose option enabled to view the main board page on all my accounts since the boards were changed in 2008.  I'm glad that's there.

I tend to use the graphical editor, but I also like being able to edit my posts as html.

I preview my posts occasionally.

Things I'd like to see

The character limit in PMs is too short.  Maybe that's just me needing to learn when to shut up, but I go over the limit too frequently.  It bugs me.

Bring back tagging, plz.

The webcam tends to slow down my internet, so an option to hide that would be appreciated.

Okay, I'll play devil's advocate here: I liked the side bar.  That had the schedule for that night listed on it, didn't it?  That was cool.  I felt a little lost when they took it away.

- graphic editor function!
- HTML function.
- bookmarked threads/messages.
- user/regular search
- tracker.
- adding ppl to my friends list.
- preview post
- uh..... the boards?
- floating stuff to the top.
- thats all i can think of for now >___>

things id like to see:

- save function for the PMs
- more chars. allowed in the PMs (srsly, its kinda wierd having to send a person like 2-3 PMs sometimes especially if all i need left is one little sentence >__> )
- and uhhh...... thats all i rly care about for now. can i add to this later?

- oh! and maybe expanding or getting rid of the editing time limit? theres been times id like to edit something but i realize im like.. a min too late or soemthing. heck even a 24 hr time limit would be nice!

Yeah, mine do too, but not until the HTML is there (which doesn't appear in the Graphical Editor ).  So off to the HTML Editor I must go!   But that might be the case with mine, the browser.  Maybe if IE works, I'll try that...

edit:  Guess I didn't realize I had to type something into the macro HTML to get it to work. >_>  But it works now, so yay me!

How about something for Newbies that lets them know why they can't make threads?
Like when they go to click the New Thread button, instead of it showing a circle with a line through it, maybe a little blurb as to why they can't click it.

That way you won't have so many people posting in random threads asking why they can't make their own.



Another thing I would REALLY like is when you go to register, or even when you go to view the boards, it asks you if you're over 18 or under.
If you're over, you can view the boards, if you're not, you can't. Just like porn sites (Not that I'd visit such sites...) Torrents all the way.
That way, you won't have to - legally - worry about minors being "scarred for life" when seeing the F word and end up suing you guys AND we won't have to filter the boards.
The only disadvantage to that is maybe less traffic - but I find that unlikely since people can just lie about their age anyway. Though legally, you'd be free from liability.

If porn sites can just put a simple splash page asking if you're over 18 or not, why can't adult swim? The block is for adults (mostly..). Why shouldn't the website? (Or at least the boards)
Though it could be good for the website too, since then you wouldn't have to censor the shows either.

So... yeah. What do y'all think?

EDIT: Two more things, possibly:
1. While you're typing up a post, every once in a while it can save it as a draft in case your power goes out before you submit or something. Kinda like how Yahoo Mail does (probably other email providers too).
2. Multi-quote option.

Taagging is, well, look at the word. If you tag something, you are putting a label on it. Say you see a post and it's absolutely wintastic... you could apply the tag "wintastic" to it. Now, later on you could search for posts with the tag "wintastic" and it would bring up all of those posts that you put the label on. 

RSS... it's simply a way to keep up with sites. It'll list updates and whatnot to what you apply the RSS to. I dunno how to better explain it. >_<

Are you at least getting the drop down box for the macros?

I'll use the HTML from this one as an example:

<FONT face="Comic Sans MS" color="#66ff00" size="5">I</FONT>

That "I" works as a placeholder, so after clicking on the macro title I hit

the backspace then type in this size and color of this font.

Anything else (spoilers, links) need to be done in HTML.

1. Hm, maybe a way to make it so that you can set up a font, font color, and font size for your posts, so that you don't have to keep fixing all of that stuff when you post. I rather like my {New} style of posting, and I would like to be able to just post like this without having to go to the font family thing, and fix it all.
   
   
2. For Private Messaging, one of the things I would like added to that, is the ability to send pictures like [img]url here[/img]. Would make it easier for me and Nerdy to be able to bounce ideas off of each other easier, without having to copy and paste the url into my address bar.
   
   
3. Add "ANIME" to the spell checker.
   
   
4. Hm, maybe the ability to add words to your icon. I would like to have a simple "SA" for my icon.
   
   
5. Sigs, I would like to be able to have Scrolling sigs as a option, because doing all of that HTML is a pain sometimes.
   
   
6. Ranks, I think it would be cool, if you could APPLY to have a special rank. But only if they meet a requirement. Like my Bleach account, I have access to the beta testing forum, so I would like to be able to apply to a special title like "Swim_BeTa_TeStEr" or something like that.

No, I meant like being able to link the PICTURE itself. Not just the link.

Custom ranks might be neat for the really high (dark blue) ranks. Easy to use spoiler tags would be great too, especially in show discussion threads.

• Bookmarks (just boards, though)
• Advanced Search

Most of the stuff I don't use doesn't get in my way, so nothing else really comes to mind.
