Would love to reiterate my wishing for more than 50 character titles as I just spent about 5 minutes trying to make a title work without making it sound stupid and resorting to broken english.

Please. And I mean real customization. Not me jumping through hoops of fire to get your attention. I realize the avatar request is a no-go most likely, but why on Earth do you not let us have custom ranks that we decide for ourselves? I've been posting here for seven years, and I've been stuck using colors I hated and rank titles I find stupid. "Owl Captain?"

Please. Just let us pick our own rank titles. At least for people like me who have stuck it out for this long.

It's no skin off your back at all and it keeps people like me happy.

The thing about custom ranks is that it's a long process to make them and assign them.

If I gave everyone any custom rank they wanted, it would take all my time (and more).

Then why not circumvent the issue of your time and make it something we modify ourselves? Does Lithium not support such a feature?

No Lithium doesn't support that.

The only way is for an admin to do it.

I doubt they'd ever make that a feature too, because it goes way "beyond" what they invision ranks to be.

I think I've been a member of only one forum with user-defined titles, and that was a small private gaming site with custom forum software where no one really noticed them anyway. There are a few popular forum systems, SMF for one, that allow for short custom messages below your avatar.

something that's different from before that i've just noticed,

when i first get to the reply screen the little tree icon for embedding images isn't there but if i select "edit as html" then go back to the graphic editor it appear and i'm actually able to open the little "Insert/Edit Image" dialouge box that would allow me to post pics. of course once i get the pic in the reply window and try to submit i get the "Your post has been changed because of invaliad HTML..." message like i should.

so my point is, the embedding option comes and goes by clicking back and forth between "edit as html"/"graphical editor" and i'm able to open that little window, neither of which i remember being able to do before. seems like something glitchy but might not matter since the feature isn't enabled.

Aside from that time they made the boards bright green and yellow, they've been fine! 

Sure they come with a slew of problems most times, but that's part of the fun!

That glitch has been there for years.

Embedding pics is still a matter of permissions.

yeah i know. the little tree icon was always there in the reply window and i was unable to use it, or even open the dialogue box. now i can open it. so that is different. but yeah, so long as the pic embedding is disabled i don't guess being able to open the little window matters.
