I'd like you guys to list out all the features you use on the boards that you like and couldn't live without. 

Also list some features you'd like to see us use that we aren't doing now.

Examples:

Font changes and simple html in posts

Private messaging (any enhancements you'd like to see with that)

Spellchecker

User searching

Avatars

Signatures

Subscriptions

Ranks

etc.

New things (things we don't use):

Post rating

Tagging

Profile add-ons (whatever those might be)

etc.

Things already here:
-i dunno, boards themselves

-macros

-sigs and icons are handy

-quick dropdown thingy to get to different parts of the board

-ability to see new users/users online [though that could use a facelift somehow]

Things that'd be nifty:

-Default font/font color option [some kinda option in profile to input color/style/size/etc]

-skin options [like, old school as.com, the clouds, anything we've used before really]

-easier way to view friends list [don't like the pm list]

-poll options in threads

-maybe a way to insert tables in posts... so people don't have to use html to do so

-ability to turn off ranks [like the sigs]

-easier way to rearrange floats

-way to defloat mod floats [pls, pls, pls]

-new smilies

-option to view icons on pages larger [they're kinda small right now]

.... I'm pretty happy with the boards as a whole, the things I said I'd like to have are really small things that, even if we don't get them, I'd still be happy with the boards. The two in yellow are things I would really, really like to see happen. It is kind of a long list of things I'd like to see, now that I look at it... though aside from the two yellow things, I could easily do without the others.

Oh yeah, you should make a float about this thread in other folders.... or just make one for each folder.... there are a lot of campers that would never see this.

The only thing that hasn't been fixed since the board format changes... which might be pre-you, that really needs tweaking is that

auto-top scroll that happens in the Graphical Editor.

Where, if you type more than fits vertically in the box and pause typing, it shoots back to the top of the post.

It's a major nuisance for when you need to type lengthier posts and has been a flaw, as I said, since the Graphical Editor has been changed from the old one.

Maybe that can't be fixed on your end, maybe that's something Lithium needs to hammer out, I don't know.

That same issua is a problem while PMing as well, at a certain point the PM will just shoot back to the top, even while you're typing.

Every time you hit a new character, it'll skip to what you just typed, then back to the top.

Again, probably more of something Lithium needs to work on than you guys.

I have nothing right now I can think of that needs to be added feature wise, although the Dashboard I can easily say I have no use for.

I can get around the forums with just as few clicks without the Dashboard as I would with it, and I don't need a spare window open.

Oh, another fix.

Is there a way to fix the length of sigs horizontally?

The vertical room allowed is fine, however, people have a tendency to expand their sig width too much, well beyond the width of the actual boards,

stetching every page they post on.

Anyway, just my own thouhts on things, possibly a bit off topic as these are more fixes I'm looking for than they are actual feature additions/subtractions/requirements.

But figured this was a good a place as any to post them.

It seems like no one likes the Dashboard.  (I don't care for it either)

Keep in mind, this thread is more for features that you like and new ones you want than stuff that needs fixin'.

Thanks for bringing these fixes to my attention though.

I'll try to see what I can do for the horizontal sig thing...I'm pretty limited though, so I don't know.

The others are the result of buggy post editors.  Can't do anything about those short of upgrading the whole boards.

Post ratings would definately be a plus.  It would also be cool if in our profiles we could rate our top 10 favorite, and least favorite shows.  This might help [as] account for which shows have completely lost touch with their fan base on an automatic basis.

Macros tab (the page is accessible, but there's no tab for it).
A way to hide the webcam - I know people have issues with the webcam crashing their browser, so if you could put up a way for them to hide it, I think that'd be cool.
Maybe a way to preview a sig after you put in the html.
Horizontal limits to sigs....I mean my screen is a widescreen, but I'd like to know if/when my sig is stretching on someone.

i actually use the dashboard when i'm in a post already and want to copy one of my stats into a post, thats about all i can say its good for

the thing on the boards i'm most in love with is that drop down box, it makes navigation so simple

things i'd like to see:
~when using pm's, seeing the message you're replying to would be nice
~being able to preview your sig if you make changes
~make macros easier to find!
~different backgrounds other than the bear
~the ability to chose what stat to show under your rank, like minutes or messages read instead of just posts
~keep the boards black... like after that update when there was the option for using white or black, it was really hard for people who liked the white to read the font color people would post with that primarily used the black... plus the boards just look weird all bright and shiny like that
~better explainations in some of the profile options... like there are those little question marks that you can click on that kind of explain stuff, but half the time i'm still confused and seek out others that know more about this stuff than i do
~a way to order friends online list... other than unfriending the ones that i'd move toward the bottom
~to be able to search for threads started by a specific person, unless there is a way and i just don't know it... i secretly think the search feature hates me, b/c sometimes it works and sometimes it gives me really weird results

that's all i can think of, and i know most of it has been said by others... ratings aren't something i'd be interested in, or tagging really... if by profile add-ons you mean something like, when we click on somebody's name and it brings up their last few posts and if their online, there might also be a box that we could add personal stuff in, like fav shows or random bits of info, but something different then just our sig, that would be neat... oh and i rarely ever use the dashboard either

I couldn't live without:

Dashboard, Icons, Signature, HTML editor, Searching (when it works. )

I like the idea of tagging threads and the profile add-ons.

I would love to be able to set my default font to Comic Sans MS without having to do it with every post.  Like in my profile, have a little menu and clicky box to set it so it's the same every time I post automatically.  The size can still be set per each post.  Because sometimes you just need to shout for a line or two,
