Official Word on Stroker and Hoop Season 2

Hi gang, yer friendly neighborhood animator here and it saddens me to say that officially there will be no 2nd season for SnH.

Thats right, I repeat, NO 2nd season.

I wanted to post it here since I doubt there will be any official release regarding this.

It was a great show, and we had a great time working on it. Jeff and Chris were kind enough to deliver us the news in person today. My hat is definitely off to them for that.

Needless to say, we're all a lil bummed.

But fear not!! Jeff and Chris aren't going anywhere, they're still writing at WS and hopefully something even more amazing will be coming forth from their pens in the future.

It wasn't a case of the show not being funny or good enough, it was a financial decision... and a hard one to make at that. I don't think anyone at WS liked not picking it up for a 2nd season.

So to sum up, a big thanks to Jeff and Chris for an experience I'll never forget (nor will my crew) and best of luck to them with everything in the future. Its not an end, just a new beginning :smileywink:

Thats about it... over n out!

~Les

P.S. Feel free to swing by The Garage and post your fondest memories from season 1... I'll throw a pot of java on the hot-plate.

Is it because you guys gave Dustin Diamond the red M and M's? I know that's the reason! That's why he won't let them do a Saved by the Bell reunion too.

Man, that stinks. I love Stroker and Hoop too! Now there's no more detective cartoons for me, looks like it's back to Hanna-Barbera classics. Back to the Chan Clan and Scooby-Doo.

Well regardless of everything, just know that there were people that loved the show and best luck to all of you in the future. I'm looking forward to both the DVD and the next series you guys work on.

Ah, crap.
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another which states that this has already happened.

You know, I wasn't a fan of this show, but other people were, so I'm sorry for them.

Ridiculously LAME. S&H was a GREAT [as] original and now it isn't being renewed... AHHH!

I'm so sorry to hear that.

I had so much hope for such a funny show..... especially in a lackluster year of comedies

I hope you guys move onto a project just as great (if not greater!)

Is a DVD out of the picture too?

You have to be kidding me...that's is weak!!

why cancel S&H? it was one of the most brilliant new shows you guys have produced lately, actually i think the only good one...I mean seriously, you had better not renew Moral Orel, The devils daughter, OzMo, or PHF..and if you do..then what the heck?

cancel the good shows and bring on the crummy ones?

whats the reason behind this....obvious everybody likes the show, as you pointed out, so what cancel it?

Les said is what because of financial stuff.

I have to say, as an Action guy, I didn't like this show at first, but it started to grow on me.  It's a shame that it's not coming back.

This is probably the best thing that could come out of this. Maybe their next show will click with more viewers -- or be cheaper to produce. Or both. Both would also work.

To add onto that, it probably wasn't pulling enough weight.
It being a 30 minute show instead of 15 minutes probably didn't help the fact that it wasn't pulling in a great number in the ratings.

Geez...I think [as] could easily thrive without a lot of shows taking up the budget, they could sell them off and make 10 times as much with S&H.

Thanks Les for having the cajones to tell us directly. It is appreciated. But what a shame that a network with more money like Comedy Central couldn't pick it up. I'd certainly watch it.

So this means that of all the new shows that premiered this fall, the only one I really liked is axed. SB was ok for a few eps, but it wasn't nearly as good as S&H in my opinion. The others I could care less about. I imagine Morel Orel will be next to fall, since I find it funny too. :smileysad:
