I thought we talked with Luuv about possibly getting a higher rank system but retaining our Status as "Owl" and their Number.

If it was my correct thought, he said we would get a new rank UNDER OWL and OWL WOULD STILL BE THERE TOP.

so........HOW COME ORDER OF THE OWL IS NO LONGER THE TOP?????

I worked so hard to get to order of the owl, to be part of an elite group of posters

and now i have to work for some ranks thats just a "Blank Whatever"?

This IS STUPID >=|

if changing the whole format of the boards and distroying the GOOD graphical editor wasn't bad enough, now we have to deal with this? I'm dissapointed

and thanks to this stupidity.....psycho_raven has left -_-

How elite could you feel as an Owl?  Because it was the highest rank, pretty much anyone that post frequently for the some 2 and a half years got it.  The count must have been in the 100s before yesterday.

I just wonder why everyone else got new cool ranks, but I'm still OotO with the same color and everything.

If anyone thinks that ranks are anything but for fun, that they represent anything but a conglomorate of statistics, and they feel like leaving, then let them leave. If their enjoyment of the boards rests solely on a stupid color and not discussion or camaraderie with other users, let them leave. I don't care.

Order of the Owl has been the top rank for at least a couple years. Now it's not. Why is this a big deal at all? BAAAWWWWW I WORKED SO HARD TO GET THIS HORRIBLY UGLY COLOR AND THAT SO I CAN CALL MYSELF "ELITE", NOW I HAVE TO WORK HARDER, BECAUSE THE COLOR OF MY NAME UNEQUIVOCALLY REPRESENTS MY CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE BOARDS!!!!

it was a name i cherished. the "order" of the owl, not just some name it was an Order...a group of people

felt like being a memeber of the boy scouts order of the arrow!

being a part of the "order" represented to me that i was one of the top fans of [as] that i was active it its whole. It ment something to me.

Guess what!  Before Order of the Owl, SwimLegend was the top rank.

Before that, SwimIcon was the top rank.

Before that, SwimSuperstar was the top rank.

Why does there necessarily have to be a "top" rank?

ranks are just colors that indicate you post alot and your case abnormally so.


consider taking them less seriously and have fun. also, if i recall psycho ravens' history correctly her presence will not be missed.

I always thought Ranks were meant to be fun. They have no bearing on your ability to contribute to the boards. And they really mean nothing. Just because you have an old name, or a lot of posts, doesn't mean anything.

It just means you have so many posts and been registered so long.

I kinda like having new ranks to explore. There was a certain thrill, however shallow, in ranking. And I enjoyed it when some of the Stats for Legend and OotO had to be lowered based on my ranking. That to me was more fun than the rank part.

But I would rather people see my name and think of all the ways I'd entertained over the years and respect that rather than looking at my rank and judging me based on that. I've worked hard, trying to be a stellar poster. Someone that contributes to a serious discussion, and has fun with the light-hearted ones. I would rather that be my legacy than a rank assigned to me at, well, random.

Those should be just fun. And I think the new ones are very fun.

i agree that new ranks are nice but, couldn't they have kept order of the owl at the top of all the ranks?

now i feel like crap because i'm an Owl, i'm nothing now and not to mention i've grown up since i became owl, i dont have the time to be on here gaining post counts anymore. I have to work for a living and i can't be here like i did a few years ago posting everyday.
