the rank i worked to achive has been dropped, thats the point

sure there are new ranks but there will never been an "order" of the highest posters

thats like.....saying...."there will never be another star wars group"

tell me, how would you like it if you worked to achive president of the FLCL club, then suddenly the top position was no longer President, now its FLCL DORK and you have to re-achive it, and everything you earned was just wiped out and ment nothing now.

 i didnt create this name as a joke, i ment it...i'm alot like inuyasha. add renton into it to. I'll fight for what i know is right, i'll protect whoever i can protect

but i fall short on emotions, i'm easliy distroyed/hurt. which is why i've been absent alot from the boards lately, i'm lost and i can't take the terrorizing of my personality from the ranbabeladers who are invading ib.

owl knight isn't a plague

its just a rank, somewhere in the middle top.

Order of the Owl was a plague....you had to work to get into it. Once you got there, you were there! there was nothing higher!

now its like a mellow middle crappy name.

so i made Owl at position # 90

a week ago that ment i had worked hard to achive that position, today it means "lol your a failure. Owls? thats out of style man, you're so old get a life" Its the same thing i have to deal with when people ask my why i use a cassette player or listen to the radio or watch VCR tapes,

you dont understand how that effects me deeply

The rank wasn't dropped. There are still Order of the Owls. You just ranked above it.

So it's more like if I worked the achieve President, they promoted me to Super-President and threw some C.E.O's and stuff above me.

You can't work to re-achieve Order of the Owl, unless you start on a new name.

You can work to become the highest rank again, but that's how the ranks go. It's just as fair that you're not the highest rank as it is that I'm not the highest rank.

Neither of us have spammed enough to get there.

exactly. I mean we are constantly losing memebers to this that or the other. IF they truly love the board, and the people in it. They will get over it and come back. Cause honestly just cause your fave rank color isn't yours any more, or cause youre not the highest ranking memeber any more, you get upset enough to leave.....well honestly im not going to be all that mussed to begin with. 

we have all gone through much more difficult changes on the boards than them adjusting the freaking ranks.

I really think you're imagining people having a negative attitude toward Owls and seeing them as a failure, though.

It's just some words and a color linked to how many posts you've made.

There's nothing you can do about it now, so I suggest you just try to let it go and not fix such importance on something like a rank on an internet message board.

well i agree to that but thats not what i was getting at.

I wasn't promoted, there is no rank system to the Owl Knight its just another rank and the top one is so far out of reach its unbelieveable.

Order of the owl now has been lessened into just a rank. it doesn't mean accomplishments anymore, now its just a rank in the books and that hurts to those who wanted to ahcive that rank.

not to mention, i'd rather be in the "Order of the Owl" than be SwimPwned Seriously, my whole point in this thread was that luuv had said in that last thread for the owls, that the owl would stay as the top and we'd keep our positions. Not that the owl name would mean nothing. does no one see what i'm saying here hello"????????????????????

I've always seen that anyone, newbie or not will respect you more by what you say than what your rank is.

You think that having a high rank earns you automatic respectability, which it doesn't. I mean how many times have you seen posters who have some what high rank, or post count do the stupidest of things? Over my 4 yrs here i've seen it more times than i can count.

Respectability is earned by what you say and do, not by your rank, color or post count. There are tons of users out there that will never reach owl, or have 10k posts, and they have my more than just my respect or respectability. While there are quite a few in the high ranks, Owls and the newer ones that have never earned my respect, and never will.

so are you saying that if they kept Owl as the highest but increased the rank requirements, which would probably derank you in the process you wouldn't be upset by it? Cause basically that is what you are saying. That all the ones of us who have ranked out of Owl should still be owl and everyone who didn't make it this far should be deranked to something else.

How is that fair? to be given a rank, have it for a long time, then bam! all the sudden they upped the requirements for it and you are no longer qualified for it.

But, if you really feel comfortable enough here that it's your home, shouldn't you worry less about having the top rank?

You were the 90th Owl, it wasn't exactly an elite group by the time you joined it.

If this is your home and being here means a lot to you, why fuss about having the highest rank? Rank has nothing to do with whether you can be here and talk to your friends.

Luuv said that in the Owl Thread, He also said we would get to keep our ranks and they would start where they left off. We would have to re-rank to Owl but we would still be the Owl even if we were de-ranked.

however what he said didn't happen, thats why im so angry

Yes I know, ranks are meant to be for fun and nothing to take seriously but, I was USED to my rank. That's it. I actually don't mind having new and higher ranks.

But the fact that I was thrown onto a higher rank without wanting to is what pisses me off the most.

to me it seems like this, Inuboy is upset cause he think his rank no longer means anything, when ranks never meant anything to begin with.

You are upset cause you actually liked the rank. Now, i dont agree with anyone leaving over something as silly as rank color, i can understand having a fave rank out of the lot. My fave rank is VIP, i have all of my more used alts at that level. I did it cause i wanted a few names that were that rank, no other reason than that. 

But you shouldn't abandon your names just cause they ranked now. By all means rank your alts up to owl and keep them there, so you will always have some of that rank, and you can use your psycho_raven account without worrying about trying to rank it.
