I had a few in there. But they, alas, were cut by S&P.They're probably right.
Nice editing, sir. And I appreciate you vouching for me.

I don't recall if it was mentioned but the song over the closing credits is by far, one of the most catchy and fun cartoon tunes I've ever heard. Props to whoever wrote it and more to the lass that recorded it.
Unfortunately I don't know who wrote/arranged the English version, but I do know it's sung by Brina Palencia, aka Georgie. Yeah. She's skillful. That song really is like audio crack, isn't it?
Oh speaking of her. After seeing her on the interactive video, I really like her hair style. Be sure to tell her that some weird, possiblely quite creepy, guy on the [as] message board thinks she has a spiffy hair style, then give a wide redicious smile and a big thumbs up. please ![]()
I'm in a silly mood.

This was another thing I wanted to comment on; how much I love that song ![]()
Also on how talented Brina must be. Because even knowing that she does Georgie's voice, I can't hear any moajor similarity between the two voices. Good job, Brina!
I love Georgie, and his voice ![]()

I didn't know Hima wasn't an original part of the show, does that mean theres a whole bunch of episodes about Shin's mom getting knocked up/being pregnant? And maybe even a giving birth episode?? If so, that seems like something you could have a field day with writing. It'd be a shame to never be able to see it.
Okay, after seeing this question, going through my Hawaiian friend's battered old VHS tapes of the KIKU subs, and getting distracted by all the commentaries and interviews(Great going there guys. There were that good
) I'm finally able to answer this.
I was lucky to find that my friend happened to have all the Pregnant Mitzi vignettes on him. She was pregnant for the span of thirty vignettes, however only eleven of them were Pregnant Mitzi stories and the rest featured Shin and the kids away from the house(Including a three part vignette where Shin, Maso, Boo, and Georgie get lost in the mountains while on a school field trip and a two-part vignette where Georgie gets a crush on an older women). The actual birth didn't take place in a regular vignette, but rather in a two-hour special seperate from the main series. Unforunately, KIKU never aired the specials so I don't have it.
The vignette where Mitzi announces her pregnancy is one of the most touching segments, because it has Shin showing some actual serious concern for her. Like Penny's dad actually showing up, that's one of the most rarest things in the whole series. While some of the Pregnant Mitzi stories are the slower paced, at-home episodes they do have some great moments(Like Mitzi dealing with a REALLY bad case of Morning Sickness for an entire vignette). I really want to explain in detail, but I don't want to spoil any of the jokes.
To Jared and the other writers, if these episodes from around 1996 ever come available to you, would you be interseted in doing them in some sort of flashback way?
Here's a shot of Pregnant Mitzi. For some reason I find the translation in this shot funny:

And here's another one. This is a charming shot of Mitzi and Shin, from the final vignette before the birth special:

Hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes here, but according to Evan Dorkin, it was actually his partner Sarah Dyer who brought the original Japanese show to the attention of Cartoon Network, but this was many years ago. The fact that Funimation used them to punch up some of the early scripts is probably entirely coincidental.

Well, pass on to Brina that she did an amazing job and has a wonderful voice. Sometimes I listen to just the song and don't watch any of that other tripe.

I just watched the interactive video on the site homepage.Wow, what a job. Looks like a lot of fun. Voice acting has been a "dream job" of sorts for me for a while now.
Also, the "Iraqi Freedom / Operation Cluster F**k" line was hilarious
In a case like that, why was the alt line chosen?
