Whitey's coming back in a big way... just make sure you're watching on May 23!

Not that you wouldn't be anyway.

Translated it basically, or in this case make it some what modified to make it funny, I think one of our insiders had a related subject about some things being edited to make funny and stuff.
Since this is not much of a sig, I will say this, to anyone who wants to hate Toonami's Return or anything related to it without having to troll members of other message boards visiting the ASMB as well as the member here,

I'm just became a fan of Shin Chan in the last month, but sadly the episodes have gone into repeats on the weekday lineup.  Do you guys have any idea when we can expect new episodes on [adult swim]?

Thanks for all your hard work, and I look forward to lots more!

Well at least we get to see this show have more fans every time we get good questions, I mean I certianlly like the staff that is Translated in the Video editing department, Like the Appartment name was quite funny to see, then again I guess that will be the waiting game of coruse of what will happen next.

are you talking about them editing the signs and stuff?

so some animation editing going on ofcourse? what are the original? did they translate or just make up something?

Most of the visual text gags are written by us.  For instance, the protest posters in "Shin's Allowance," the sign for the Well Enough Center in "Needle Mania," the dirty video game instructions in "Meet the Parasites" - all of those were created by us dub writers and added in there by the talented artists at FUNimation (someone more involved with production can tell you about that process).

Sometimes we change text to simply translate the Japanese Kanji when it's important to the story or distracting (usually something dry like "Exam Room C" ).  Sometimes we replace the Kanji with our own jokey ideas ("Super Happy Fun Time American School" ).  And sometimes our text goes where no text has gone before - just because we have a fun idea (there wasn't originally a subtitle where we put "The Delusion Fairy" in "Blinging Up Baby" ).

Oh, and sometimes we have to change the Kanji to adapt it to our utter perversion of the original story - like changing "Tissues" to "Tampons" in "A Bicycle Built for Poo."  Yes, those were supposed to be boxes of tissues on sale.

As for the apartment sign, we came up with "Falling Apartments" as the name of the apartment building.  The original named translated to "Will Fall Apart Again."

I hope that all makes sense.  It's late and my brain is full of Spider webs.

Ok I just thought of this as I am watching a rerun. Is there any reason, that didn't make the translation, Hima goes ape sh*t when Mitzi puts her on the futon couch on episode 10? I know she's a baby and all and her whims are unpredictable but she just sort of goes crazy there for a few seconds for no apparent reason...

Hima's a bit of a spaz.  A very vocal child....

That's Colleen Clinkenbeard voicing her.

I am a new fan of the show due to [as] airing it, and one of the main reasons I like the show is because I immediatly saw a young version of myself in Shin Chan. Anyone else feel that way.

That's not the real me in the video, btw.  I'm actually 10 inches taller, sport a perfectly golden tan, and have lots of very rugged tattoos.  Oh, and my massive biceps are constantly ripping my clothes, Hulk style.  It gets very expensive.

Exactly one day.  No more, no less.

I can attest to Jared's Hulkitude.  I was intimidated, and I'm a pretty big man.

Shouldn't you be not up dating the icons or something, instead of oggaling over Jared?

That's a lot of content for just a days worth of filming, must have made for some interesting editing. Good Job.  I'm glad you showed some booth work too, I've been curious about how the timing would work for a while,  too bad there isn't a clip of Colleen Clinkenbeard doing a hima rant :smileyhappy:

After watching some of the little mini interveiws. I'm wondering what are some of the alternative lines that get thrown out?

I had a few in there.  But they, alas, were cut by S&P.

They're probably right.

Now THAT was an awesome suprise. Great job putting all that material together! Really good actually getting to Jared, Zach, and the VAs. I love seeing voice actors at work, so the booth footage of Laura and Brina was an added plus.

I don't recall if it was mentioned but the song over the closing credits is by far, one of the most catchy and fun cartoon tunes I've ever heard.  Props to whoever wrote it and more to the lass that recorded it.

Unfortunately I don't know who wrote/arranged the English version, but I do know it's sung by Brina Palencia, aka Georgie.  Yeah.  She's skillful.  That song really is like audio crack, isn't it?
