Y'know, I've been amused by but largely passing over this thread since its inception, but I felt I had to throw this in because it made me think of this thread when I heard it.
My friend Lisa has a little girl named Jenna, who's two years old, pushing three. Jenna has a pretty good working vocabulary, but not much grasp of sentence structure--she has "yes" & "no", she can identify people she knows by name, she can identify a lot of objects, either by name or pointing to it and saying "that", and she knows simple verbs like "go", "eat", "stop", etc.
This weekend, I recieve a phone call from Lisa saying that Jenna has uttered her first sentence, composed entirely of words that she understands:
"Miri eats poop".
Miri, it should be noted, is Jenna's 12-year-old sister, who's apparently been tormented with this newly discovered sentence for a few days now.
After laughing over this with Lisa, I happened to remember this thread and thought I'd share this with everyone.

Edit: Whoa! I'm a Scenester!
