Question: How can i prove that someone is trolling me?

I'm bout sick of this one dude trolling me for months now... he even trollin me in other sites.

oh! screen cap it dubzeh. like when hes a emangy to ju and st00f.. screencap it and so you'll have proof and all incase he deletes his posts or edit it youll have the original.. and screencaps the ones off of the other sites too, even tho the mods arent in charge of other sites... it might help them see that yesh the guy is a trolly meangy to ju..

You just have to use the Report Abuse feature and/or the PM system.  A moderator or admin will take a look at whatever's going on and assess the situation. 

We can't take action against users simply because somebody else accuses them of something.  I've literally gotten Abuse Reports before people who sent them in just to report somebody disagreeing with them.

But, if you're trying to provide context, obviously any additional information in the report and/or PM is probably useful.  And not like - emotional type information, but actual information about the process of what's occurring.  You can always add additional links in the notes section of an abuse report to other threads where you think the trolling is occurring as well.  If you're trying to illustrate a time line or show that it's going on over several posts/threads or whatever.

There's no guarantee ever that a moderator or admin will see it exactly the same way you do. 

But that's actually why we have moderators rather than allow people to ban each other for example.  Generally just - hopefully people who are relatively level headed and neutral to look at a situation and figure out what should be done about it.

Would i be able to present evidence by using other sites as well? cause i've had the same person do that.

Sure.

I'm not sure all mods would necessarily check out external links.  Some have policies against I think.  Also we actually only actually moderate what goes on here on this board, but often additional context can be found through external means.

So, while no action will be taken regarding things that occur on another site, if there is context or a strong enough relation/link to stuff that's going on on this site, we'll act on it certainly.

Good examples might include - like if somebody's planning a spam attack on this board using another forum and we catch wind of it, we can often head that off.  Or somebody posting information about things they did on this board that pan out.  Or harrassment that seems to be occurring. 

Again, in that case, we can't act directly on stuff that happens on other boards.  But if it's clear that the additional evidence supports the notion that it's going on here, then that will be taken into account in taking action against somebody for harrassment potentially.

Luuv gets enough floats. He's like vanilla ice cream AND root beer all the time.

I didn't know it was ever illegal. Hate to hate no matter what is looked down on. But RIFs seem like a well known board joke. As long as someone isn't using that as an excuse to attack another user personally, why would RIF talk be a mod smackable thing?

I didn't float this one because I just didn't feel like it, plus I figured it'd always be bumped anyhow so why float it?

Also I didn't want to confuse people as to which thread to go to for asking questions about mod actions.  I think too many mod threads floated would be distracting/confusing.
