What is this?! I actually got around to checking out one of the threads Sarteck mentioned for once?

I'm scaring myself now; it's almost like I'm having a sudden spurt of non-lazy.

I don't know if I'm overstepping any bounds, but since it has been a long time... I did an interview with Chubby. Be it a gift to some or a lump of coal to others, here it is.

BlueBerryPie:  Well, for an opening question, is there any reasoning behind you name, Chubby?

Chubby:  heh short story is i hate all things related to flirting/cyber sex on forums, who in their mind would do that with someone named "Chubby"? makes sense doesn't it?

BlueBerryPie:  About as much sense as my name.

Chubby:  lol

BlueBerryPie:  What drew you into joining the message boards?

Chubby:  i saw an ad for adult swims site so i checked and found the forums, initially i just lurked a bit. i stayed a lurker for about 3 days, the urge to finally post oddly enough came from misinformation being posted about my favorite anime Berserk, i got annoyed with the people saying the wrong things so my initial first post was yelling at people, anyway after that i got a lot more involved

BlueBerryPie:  And this was way back in the early days with Prospero. What were your impressions on the Prospero boards?

Chubby:  yes it was, initially i didn't like them very much because i was used to the kind we use now however i grew to like them, in fact i think we need them now, the way prospero was sure there was little to no individuality however i think that can be needed at times, also because all the threads in each board was on 1 page it was hard to just camp 1 board. What i mean by individuality is hardly anyone really would notice who the guy who posted something was , and you were free to post whatever you wanted, sure you may get flamed but no one would remember your name.

BlueBerryPie:  I feel the same way. Camping on Lithium is far too easy, and people end up staying to that particular point. I remember when I used to camp in IB myself. Eventually I realized the folly of that. Have you ever found yourself camping at one point? 
 
Chubby:  not so much camping really, just preferences, i hang around other anime and babbling a lot

BlueBerryPie:  Besides mixing all the folders together, was there more to Prospero that you found to be better than Lithium?

Chubby:  i found it more newbie friendly

BlueBerryPie:  Considering that there were no ranks to identify people with or was it some other reason?

Chubby:  particularly that

BlueBerryPie:  When [as] made the switch to Lithium, how did you feel about that?

Chubby:  kind of strange because i had gotten so used to prospero

BlueBerryPie:  But eventually you got used to Lithium. Do you miss Prospero?

Chubby:  yea i do a bit

BlueBerryPie:  What were your early impressions on Lithium?

Chubby:  didn't like um.  Its was all very chaotic because of the switch, i had lost 3000 posts also

BlueBerryPie:  I'm sure a good deal of Prospero history was deleted. Is there anything specific about Lithium that you don't like?

Chubby:  the idiots that came with it heh

BlueBerryPie:  If you could make any improvements to the boards, what would you change?

Chubby:  in terms of the actual board or board rules?

BlueBerryPie:  It could apply to either

Chubby:  hmm.  That's tough, definitely more than 1 lol

BlueBerryPie:  I'm sure. Let's start with the actual boards themselves then

Chubby:  definitely something to reduce camping

BlueBerryPie:  What about rules?

Chubby:  high up on that list is definitely the allowing of talk of hentai

BlueBerryPie:  General discussion or actually getting into the nitty, gritty?

Chubby:  general discussion

BlueBerryPie:  What are your impressions on the MODs?

Chubby:  i generally hate the new ones. i like the prospero MODs but the ones after Lithium i find to be severely lacking.  Plus they tend to be idiots and hypocrites. But that's something for another day

BlueBerryPie:  What draws you into a thread on the boards? What makes a thread good, in your opinion?

Chubby:  intelligence, maturity, and topics im interested in

BlueBerryPie:  Those tend to be the top three factors a general amount of posters look for.

Chubby:  doesn't surprise me much

BlueBerryPie:  Have you ever watched the [as] programming block?

Chubby:  of course, if i didn't i wouldn't have seen the ad for the site and wouldn't have found the boards

BlueBerryPie:  Well, what are your favorite programs on the block?

Chubby:  currently FMA and GitS

BlueBerryPie:  What do you think is the biggest accomplishment in [as]'s programming?

Chubby:  define accomplishment

BlueBerryPie:  Got me on that one. By accomplishment, I mean best improvement. 

Chubby:  ah, definitely FMA and GitS, they brought a lot of life back to as IMO and gave me a reason to watch . Though i will not be watching FMA this Saturday because this episode is just too sad

BlueBerryPie:  What would you say was the most fatal mistake to happen to the block?

Chubby:  fatal mistake? hmmm. Not sure really

BlueBerryPie:  If you could put anything on the programming block, what would you change?

Chubby:  definitely get Berserk on there, unedited of course

BlueBerryPie:  But of course

Chubby:  indeed

BlueBerryPie:  What's your favorite non-adult swim programming?

Chubby:  hmm i guess Seinfeld

BlueBerryPie:  What's your favorite music?

Chubby:  metal

BlueBerryPie:  Any particular bands?

Chubby:  At The Gates, Death, Nile, Behemoth, Deicide, Amon Amarth, Slayer. Many many more

BlueBerryPie:  What kind movies are you into?

Chubby:  i tend to be a comedy fan, action is nice too, i tend to not like horror though

BlueBerryPie:  What's the reasoning behind horror? I would think because it's because they tend to be less scary and more teen projected, mostly trying to focus on sex and special effects rather than scare factor.

Chubby:  *shrugs* don't know really, i love me some Evil Dead though

BlueBerryPie:  What would be your ideal [as] avatar?

Chubby:  never really thought about that, im happy with my PHF icon currently

BlueBerryPie:  Any parting words?

Chubby:  HAVE A HAPPY FESTIVUS!

BlueBerryPie: Saddy correct?

Saddy: yes indeed

BlueBerryPie: You should know me as BlueBerryPie

Saddy: well hello there ^.^

BlueBerryPie: Well, to get things underway, is there a story behind your name?

Saddy: there is actually, it's kinda long so i'll try and condense it a bit.  i had a friend who was writing a song and he said that i was his sadistic siren. so for years that is what people called me. then it got shortened to saddy and now just about everyone i know calls me saddy.

BlueBerryPie: You involved in music in anyway?

Saddy: i used to write music, just messing around with fruity loops. now i'm just some sort of disconnected muse for my friends i guess.

BlueBerryPie: What were your early impressions of the boards?

Saddy: hmmm, well when i first joined i was kinda intimidated.  they were fun but some of the people were kinda mean to me. i almost quit posting.  i'm glad i didn't though.

BlueBerryPie: Being around since Prospero, is there anything you liked about it over Lithium?

Saddy: lithium was so confusing at first. i was used to the simplicity of the prospero boards. the lithium boards were so fancy.  i guess it would be the simplicity. no colors. just simple black white and red

BlueBerryPie: Is there anything about Lithium you don't like?

Saddy: the folder set up was a bit different too. it took me a while to get used to the lithium set up. i felt like such a n00b.  hmmm, the glitches. they're so buggy. that invalid html message really burns my biscuits and my gawd that request being processed screen!

BlueBerryPie: Invalid HTML message drives me up the walls as well, even when I don't use any HTML

Saddy: hehe, it's infuriating. i've actually sat there screaming at that message.  my html is so valid you **bleep**!!

BlueBerryPie: I usually spend that time squeezing my anger ball, though I will beat the crap out of my PC even though it's not its fault.

Saddy: well sometimes you have to beat them into submission.  it works for me. my router knows better than to mess with saddy

BlueBerryPie: For me, the mouse would get the most abuse, especially when the batteries die.

Saddy: my mouse acts cooky quite often. like it's drunk or something. i've gone so far as hiding the rum. i swear it drinks without me. 

BlueBerryPie: Anyways, what are your favorite folders on the boards?

Saddy: hmmm, rants. i'm a rants girl. i do love babbling as well. i have been delving into the pits of ib a bit lately. i read alot in the other folders but i post the most in rants and babbling.

BlueBerryPie: Sounds like me: I roam across other folders, but most of my posts end up in IB.

Saddy: i used to post alot in ib on the prospero boards. it was a different folder then, at least i think so.

BlueBerryPie: Any favorite [as] programming?

Saddy: well i loooooooove full metal alchemist. it rawks. and venture brothers is teh awesome.  bebop is great, flcl, witch hunter robin was good.  i adore brak.

BlueBerryPie: I'm loving FMA myself  And to be truthful, Brak was the guy who got me hooked on [as] in the first place.

Saddy: it really is great. the animation is great, the story is just wow!  brak is just... swank. how can anyone not love brak?

BlueBerryPie: I know. He's adorable. And he's got Zorak and Thundercleese as friends.

Saddy: thundercleese pwns!

BlueBerryPie: Didn't Thundercleese sing a song at one point?

Saddy: *gasp* he might have. i hate to admit it but my memory is really bad. he could have called me and sang happy birthday and i would end up wondering if i dreamt it.

BlueBerryPie: So, in your opinion, what's the greatest achievement on the programming block?

Saddy: hmmm, well i am really impressed with venture bros. and fma so i will forgive my dear [as] for that perfect hair forever travesty.

BlueBerryPie: I liked Perfect hair Forever, but everyone has their own taste in humor.

Saddy: it truly traumatized me. every time i see a hamburger i hear uncle grandfather saying "bend over!" *shudders*

BlueBerryPie: That's kinda funny because I had hamburgers for dinner.

Saddy: i will never bbq the same way again.  i had that lalalalala thing stuck in my head for three days. three days! stupid hotdog.  i seriously contemplated sending [as] my therapy bills. ^.~

BlueBerryPie: If you could make changes for the programming, what changes would you make?

Saddy: i would do away with inuyasha. *hides* not that i dispise the show but i really think it needs a rest. i'd also bring back reign 'cause i love it and i think it's hilarious watching all the male posters cringe over the cod pieces.  i'd also like to see lupin.  i really liked lupin.

BlueBerryPie: Ugh. I never really cared for Reign visuals, so I ended up listening to the show while reading Garfield comics.

Saddy: that had to conjure up some weird mental pictures

BlueBerryPie: Not really. Everyone wore robes.  And I have a good imagination

Saddy: i love the art. it's not typical anime ya know? it's either a love it or hate it kinda thing i guess.

BlueBerryPie: If you could make changes to the [as] message boards, what would they be?

Saddy: more mods. the mods have a hard job. the boards are huuuuuuuuge and i think the number of mods is just too few for the size of the boards. i'd also do away with ranks. heh, long story behind the ranks thing.

BlueBerryPie: Speaking of MODs, what are your impressions on them?

Saddy: i love the mods. i knew most of them before they were mods and i thought they were pretty awesome as posters.  they're doing a kick **bleep** job i think.  and odie becoming an admin! wow! they picked the right guy i think. odie rawks.

BlueBerryPie: What about non-[as] programming? Got anything you watch and enjoy?

Saddy: i love the simpsons. i watch them every day. seinfeld. other than that i mostly watch the discovery channel or the history channel. i'm also hooked on doc day on the sundance channel. i don't really watch tv that much.

BlueBerryPie: Got any favorite music?

Saddy: ebm, gothic are my first loves but i have very ecclectic tastes.

BlueBerryPie: What first attracted you to the boards?

Saddy: i saw a thing on a black and white about them so i figured i'd check them out. i was instantly addicted.

BlueBerryPie: What draws you into a thread? What makes a post interesting?

Saddy: i think humor is a big thing for me. i like to laugh so if something looks funny i'll check it out. eye catching subject lines can get me too. i've seen some really great ones.  certain screen names are also a biggie.

BlueBerryPie: Really? Are there certain screen names you visit, since you know them for being funny or having good posts?

Saddy: absolutely. i've been around long enough to become familiar with certain posters so i definately look for their threads.

BlueBerryPie: What would be your ideal icon?

Saddy: hmmm, i dunno. i never really thought about it.

BlueBerryPie: Interesting. I find myself constantly changing my avatar, though not very often, but still more frequent then some people.

Saddy: i think i'm one of the few people who have never changed theirs. i like ed.  she fits me i think

BlueBerryPie: So, any parting words for the readers?

Saddy: hmmm, watch out for those mod ninja stars and always keep candy in your pockets. you never know when you'll have to bribe a mod.
