I love this show so much

This has to be the most despised show on [as], which in a way suits me just fine. If they rattled off the same crap that we see on mind numbingly popular garbage like Modern Family and 2 1/2 Men I truly believe the world would suffer for it. There's a reason you see so many unlikely celebrities turn up on this show. Tim and Eric are creative and unique and insane enough to try anything, which I think appeals to artists who have grown tired of the same banal comedy formulas.

Yeah, not everything works, but what show has a perfect record?

If you have watched say, an hour's worth of material from Awesome Show and you didn't laugh once, it's my opinion that you need to ask why you watch this network in the first place. Their brand of mania falls perfectly in line with [adult swim]'s doctrine of irreverent and bizarre humor and I'm sad that season cinco looks like it will be the last. If you want conventional mainstream comedy there are thousands of lame sitcoms to pick from.

So if you don't get T and E and their weirdness, that's fine. Just stop bashing them at every turn. They're testing the limits and trying to redefine humor. They're giving us something new and incredibly unusual to laugh at. I love it...

Or would you prefer the same prime time comedy scripts that the networks have been recycling since the 1970's?

Agree fully.  This I can drink some Oopy-Doopy to!

As for parts that might fall flatter, it is still extremely interesting to watch.  Take the Chrimbus Special, for example.  If you don't particularly enjoy what's going on on-stage, just check out the crowd.  It's chalk-full of hilarious reactions.

I like to see them test the limits.  Tim and Eric is one of the few shows I know of that even tests the limits of the fans of the show.

I love when Tim and Eric spoof sitcoms and sitcom tendencies, especially whenever they play a laugh-track

'm never bored while watching Awesome Show and I've never had to force myself through a single episode.

I thought the Chrimbus Special got better with repeated viewings...

It wasn't on [as], but the Morning Prayer with Scott and Behr skit from Funny or Die was absolutely classic. I'd put that in my top ten funniest of all time......

I always wonder how people can say they love other shows and then claim they are a huge [AS] fan but can so adamately hate a show that does fit well as you said, into Adult Swim's unique brand of humor.

I can understand not getting the show or being interested in it, but hating it so much that you believe it needs to be removed is an insult to Adult Swim and their choices of what they think is funny enough to air.

They can't be REAL fans if they feel that way.

Chrimbus definitely took extra viewings to fully appreciate.

I absolutely love Morning Prayer.  Insta-classic for me.  Chase:  forever the scapegoat.  Anything with Bah Bodenkirk is the thing for me.

Are you aware of the Frank Black outtake on Morning Prayer?  It's on Tim and Eric's vimeo account.

I love all their FOD material.  I just wish there was some way to remember it all.  Like a disc!

Why people think they know comedy better than actual comedians is beyond me. Honestly, if they think they can do better than Tim and Eric, what's stopping them from making their own website and uploading their videos to it? That's all Tim and Eric had to do.

Oh, wait...they must not be funny to themselves or others. Tim and Eric have a great deal of confidence to do the things they do in the face of people who don't get them. If others are so confident that they are bad, they ought to put up or shut up.

But of course you know they won't because it's too easy for them to say all of this crap behind their anonymity but they'd crumble if they were in the public eye trying to make someone laugh.

They can't even fathom what it takes.

That's what gets to me.  When I see snide comments around the Internet saying that anybody can do what Tim and Eric are doing.

It takes real talent and composure to perfect a craft, like they do.  Take the Cats Film Festival clip, for example.  Do you have something of that quality sitting around on a file at your house?  I think not.  It takes a pro to mess something up so beautifully.

Even Adoko has said that he's had funnier ideas, but don't worry, they're swimming around in his head, he says. He won't share them.  Weird, huh?

If the show was poo-poo, all these famous guest stars wouldn't come back for reprises and different roles.  If it was poo-poo, it wouldn't've lasted as many seasons as it did.

Tim once said something along the lines that 'they're doing something right if Frank Black tells him he likes their shows, and he doesn't care if some teenager says otherwise.'

Tim and Eric don't have this fan-base for no reason.

Yes and don't forget, they probably would not have this much traffic of hatred if they weren't doing something right. Personally I think it makes T&E haters (or to be more politically correct for Adoko the-people-who-find-T&E-to-be-a-weird-annoying-and-stupid-show-wi
th-"STUPIDER"-fans) mad that they don't get it because they know they're missing out on something so they pick on the show relentlessly.

While I agree that there is a need for better comedy that is not predictable, I have to disagree that this show is innovative in any way.  Honestly as many times as I have tried to find a redeeming quality to T & E, it is simply painfully difficult to watch.  If it were funny at any point, it would be one thing, but there is no punch line, no real plot, and no real humor.  I know that there are different taste in everything, but I can hardly conceive how anyone would find any real entertainment value in this show.

When Tim and Eric did "Tom Goes to the Mayor" it was not the funniest show on the network, but it was at least watch-able.  You cannot throw a bunch of would-be toilet jokes into a blender and get anything without actual comedy.  Just because something isn't predictable, does not mean it is innovative and funny.  Part of comedy is looking at your material and saying to yourself "will the audience laugh and smile?"  Most of the time I am cringing while at other times I am bored.  Even if skits are random in a show, like Robot Chicken or Family Guy for example, it leaves plenty of room for great comedy, sub-plot, and plot.

I do, at times, see the attempt at satire or tongue in cheek.  Even though you might be able to see what they were trying to do with the skit, the lack of actual comedy leaves it entirely incomplete. I could say "Milk is good food" all day long, in a multitude of different ways, and no matter how I say it, it is very unlikely to ever amount to comedy.  So it is for T& E.  I hear a lot of people say you haven't given the show a chance.  I have given it a chance and I simply never did see the point in wasting a time slot on it.  Without the comedy or at least some element to make the show entertaining, it is just a boring wait until the next show comes on.

To the fans who do enjoy T & E, I am certainly glad you found some redeeming quality to it.  Personally, I think they made T& E just to make Tom Goes to the Mayor seem more palatable...LOL.  Seriously, I used to hate TGTTM, but after watching T & E, I realized there were worse things in life. :smileywink:

This show is absolutely horrrible an It does not fit even into [AS] unique brand of Dumb ass british shows they tried putting on. And you's are trying to say those of us with enough brains to say this show needs to be removed are not real fans? Proves how much intellect it takes to be a fan of this show. Not only does it need to be taken off the air but all copies need to be burned an the dumb fuuuuuudges(tim&eric) should be locked away so they can not bother another person at least those of us who are not 5 years old an under or have the iq of my dog which must be the case with anyone who thinks this piece of **beast** waste of air time show is remotely funny..

I'm convinced that all of the people who create accounts just to hate on T&E is one person who keeps creating accounts to make it seem like there's more people who think like he does.

I thought i would stop by to see who was hating on the show since it's new time slot...

I think if you would have been at the San Diego comic con's AS panel, you would actually realize how many people dislike them.  For every 1 person that makes an account to rant about how much they **noel**, there are 1000 others who feel the same way.

You're really not paying attention to the show if you don't think it's innovative, which is not to say that you have to like it. Where else can you see two red-cheeked manchildren rap about sitting down while they pee, which later turns out to be a commercial paid for by voter initiative prop. 216? What show has a character like Pierre, who, donned in sparkling disco attire, sings about his obsession with children and their dads? How about a plot that revolves around someone gaining the ability to spontaneously create tiny porcelain tigers, a talent that ultimately shrinks his body and leads to his friend suffocating him with a clothespin?

There's almost nothing on T&EASGJ that can't be described as innovative. You can't be so dead set on hating everything about a show that you deny it the things it clearly has.
