No Tom Folder?!

did the Awesome Show folder just absorb the Tom Goes To The Mayor folder?

do they expect these two insanely cool programs to share one measly space?

why?

I think they got rid of any folders that didn't meet some sort of traffic requirement.

Crackets!

WHUTZ U GAIZ FAVE EPISODE? I haven't seen it in so long, it's hard to decide (or remember clearly what minor scenes were in which episode)

Off the top of my head, some favorite scenes/eps include:

"RIKA-TIKA TIK TOK TIK TOK! RIIIIIING-A-DING-A-DING RINGA-DING-DING!" - Tom's expression was priceless.

"My Big Cups" - Laughably absurd... I loved their Sir Mix-A-Lot-esque spokesperson.

"Sauceman's" - The advertisement was hilarious and disgusting. *dunks suasage in gravy*

"WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIZZZZ!" - Those mad bass skills were mad, and I thought the half-baked, 90's MTV "dude" stereotype was spot on.

"PRINCE CHAAAAAAAAAARLES!" - That was one of those great, odd, surreal bits in TGTTM which we see a lot more of in Awesome Show.

"Rats off to Ya!" - The Mayor's uncontrolable laughter was contagious. I regret not having that shirt!

Check my wantlist! I am not looking to make trades from my collection, but I am happy to swap tapes of anything in my collection for (almost) anything in my wantlist. Get in touch!

Raytownian, you know you can still get a ROTY shirt... http://www.timanderic.com/store.html (scroll down to the shirts section)

Favorite episodes --

- Porcelain Birds (what got me into it all)

- The Layover

- Vehicular Manslaughter (how could you not like Michael Ian Black)

- ROTY

- Gibbons/ Surprise Party

- Vice Mayor (Loved the ending)

- Spray a Carpet or Rug

- Puddins

Friendship Alliance is where it started for me. I saw that episode and knew these guys really had things figured out. The wolf baby and John C Reilly were genius.

CNE was amazing. So many moments of hilarity in that show. That weird greeting the mayor had with Michael Ian Black was great and I really loved when they called Tom a boogie board and a gumball.

Bear Traps was really funny and I love the song Tenacious D does.

Pioneer Island, Gibbons, and Pipe Camp are some of my other favorites.

TGTTM is a great show, and it's actually really interesting to go back and watch it now that Awesome Show has had 3 seasons. You really get a sense of T&Es style, the "origins" or "precursors" to jokes, etc.

Friendship Alliance is a very good example of how much stuff carried over to Awesome Show: John C. Reilly, Chippy, Cinco, lame commercials, internet website parodies.

Best show to ever air on Adult Swim.

We need more episodes or at least more Tom refrences in TAEASGJ.

I love "Happy birthday Spray, I'm disappointed in you," because it's such a Tom throwback. Time to go watch TGTTM now.
