T&E and Saints Row

I haven't actually played these games before, maybe I should. T&E made a video for a gameshow within the new Saints Row, which I can only imagine is just like seeing that Neil Hamburger gameshow for [as] that never got made.

It's pretty insane, also aside from the commercials it feels different from a lot of stuff they've done. Lots of fine hilarity though, and so many quotable moments.

This caught me off guard, which is a good thing.  I'm not a gamer and I've never heard of saints row, but wow.

Five outta five stars, bravo, great job, etc..

All the abrupt clapping gets me everytime.  Tim & Eric have a talent for picking good crowd members with priceless reactions.  Gnarly effects, too; the flashback to Genki's origins was pretty pffr-esque.

This does sadden me some, though, because, as you mentioned, it reminds us fans how we never got to see the dropped Neil Hamburger-hosted game show.  Just think of the potential of Neil Hamburger being in every episode of a show, constantly ridiculing everything and being as unhospitable and unpersonable as possible.

I loved this so much.

PS:  Tennessee Luke/Milen Valtchev sighting!

Fits right in with the zaniness in Saint's Row games.
This Saturday night, it's a heavyweight collision! Newly crowned UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos, fresh off of his 1st round knockout victory over Cain Velasquez on Fox, returns to the Octagon to battle submission specialist Frank Mir in an all heavyweight card! Cain attempts to bounce back from his devastating loss against Brazilian wrecking machine Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva! Plus, Jason "Mayhem" Miller returns on the FX Prelim show to battle CB Dolloway! The action starts 8pm on FX and 10pm on PPV! I mean, what the hell else would you watch?

Honestly didn't think the game show segment was that good. they're more or less just repeating various shticks they've done before but in the context of a Japanese game show.

The two actual commercials, on the other hand, were amazing. the backflip guy was the best part. "Girls say: Oui Oui, I'm sexy playing Saints Row". :smileyvery-happy:

That was strange even for Tim and Eric.

Well they were repeating the audience-talking-in-unison thing, but I thought it was really unique on the whole, so many great quotes like 'TALL CAT PARADE!', and 'OH NO EAT YOURSELF!'. And whoever plays Tang is a genius, that accent and those mannerisms... I was hanging on his every word.

imo, this is one of their worst works. the concept was good, but it was executed terribly due to weak jokes and an emphasis on the visual effects.

plus, it's not really funny unless tim and eric, themselves, are in the sketch.

like i said, one day you will "know" all about god (and his wrath) anyway. but keep watching your animes.

I like this sketch a lot, but I totally agree with you.
The pieces really don't work without Tim and Eric physically in them.

It's always been my opinion that's why seasons 2-5 of awesome show weren't as amazing as season one, because they started bringing in way too many guest actors.

I really liked it, though I thought some of the special effects were a bit excessive at times. But that's part of the course with game shows, so...

I played the first 2 and they are bad ass.

Tim and Eric's commercial for SR3 was hilarious though :smileyhappy:

"I'd rather be a lightning rod, than a seismograph."

"The only dope worth shooting is Richard Nixon."

One of the best parts about Awesome Show is the facial expressions and accents coming from Tim and Eric themselves. Having them in the show is key. I didn't mind this, but it would be funnier if they played the characters.
It's aboxa balloons.
