So to me their work is pretty personal, I see everything they do as an affront to true comedians.
I have said it many times before and will again here, Tim and Eric don't deserve to crawl ten miles in broken glass to grovel in the shadow of Moe Howard just to ask how real comedy is made.

I didn't say people were wrong for thinking that Tim and Eric were comedians.
I just think they are victims of our modern society who think, vomit and fart jokes equal comedy.
People who are under 20 don't know of good comedy being raised in a generation where such bottom feeding, low brow humor is common place.
They are just ignorant of superb comedy that came before and the masters of comedy that are long dead I feel would roll over in their graves at such a mess that Tim Heidecker and Eric Warheim try to pass off as comedy.
Hackneyed comedians who rely on gross out, lowest common denominator humor are not comedians in my eyes.
Don't like my opinion of them?
Fine indeed.
I just find Tim and Eric fans to be firmly ignorant and I don't mean that in a disrespectful sense, because one being ignorant simply doesn't know any better at the moment what kind of mockery they are defending.

I seriously do not understand the fixation on the fart jokes/vomiting. Most of the show is not fart jokes/vomiting, anyway. Why is that all you focus on?
I don't think Awesome Show has considerably more poop jokes than a lot of [as] shows.
Bolded the part I disagreed with most. That's just plain unreasonable. What, does someone's birth year mark the cut off of what media they can know about? Just because something is older than you doesn't mean you aren't aware of it. Ironically, to make the assumption you made is to be ignorant
Tim and Eric aren't hackneyed. They're quite the opposite. Theirs is one of the most original shows on the network.
Tim and Eric isn't lowest common denominator humor. Lowest common denominator humor appeals to the masses. Tim and Eric has niche appeal.

I'd venture to say most T&E fans are over 20, having been to their live show. In any case, I'm positive that any comedy gods you pray to would like T&E, since most comedians in general do.

I mean, seriously. I'm okay with our differing opinions, but your criticisms of the show aren't even accurate. Saying that Tim and Eric have mass appeal is like saying Superjail is not a violent show. It just doesn't add up.

Nope. Total trash. My number 1 worst [as] show. They made one single, funny thing ever--the Rats Off To Ya episode of TGTTM. Outside of that, thse guys make me go for my remote faster than anything else on [as].

Wow, you're on a roll homeboy!
Typing this in two different threads?

This is just plain one of the shows I don't like.
It is boring to me.
I don't care that it is low budget. The Guild and Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog were great and also done on a small budget.
(God help them if T&EASGB is expensive to make happen, I fail to see where the money is spent.)
The writing is sometimes clever. I can picture this show being popular with people that got picked on in High School and never got over it.
I'm in my thirties now and you look back to see some that just got older, but never matured or realized that opinions of 16 year olds are mostly worthless.
Ryan Kinney, this is for you! Well, maybe his stuff will go big. But the poor guy just can't seem to move on. Maybe I am just over valuing the life I lead.
...Also probably at the core of why I don't like the show, almost 100% non-applicable to the things I do or think on a daily basis. Some of it might have been funny to me fifteen years ago.
I will give them an A+ plus for committing to a somewhat homogenous end result, I can tell when it's a Tim & Eric production from the pixels, and I've seen enough Time & Eric productions to know where this is going!

"I can picture this show being popular with people that got picked on in High School and never got over it."
I don't get this in the slightest. what makes you come to this conclusion? if anything I'd say its the opposite since the humour can be pretty mean spirited (the making fun of weird looking ppl/ppl with accents).
also your paragraph structure is terrible. how is that comment even the slightest bit related to the last one?

Tim and Eric are not mean-spirited with their comedy, I think you're way off with your analysis.
Eric Wareheim in an interview with The Believer: "Part of the fun, right. And that’s really important to us. We never, ever want to seem like we’re manipulating them too much. We were never into bringing people onto the show and mocking them. Howard Stern sometimes does this, and we don’t like how he treats his gang of crazy people. It’s too brutal. Sometimes it’s funny, but mostly it just feels exploitative to us. I’m not into that idea of mean comedy"
---
It should be noted that Tim and Eric are actual friends with the David Liebe Harts and the James Qualls and the Richard Dunns (RIP), etc...
For every sketch with some confused looking foreign dad, there are at least 5 sketches where Tim and Eric are doing something equally ridiculous. Tim and Eric orchestrate it all, but it's not like they're doing it sneeringly from some jewel-encrusted ten-foot thrones.. They're right in the thick of it all, having a good time.

No... you and all my friends hate this show, and hopefully anyone else that has a an IQ score with a positive digit. I change the channel until this show is over. There is zero comedic value and almost all their "jokes/skits" are latently, or overtly **noel**-erotic bordering on softcore gay porn. This show is horrible. Bring back home movies, the big O, samurai shamploo, shin chan, anything...
