During Game Play:
When the game begins, I will call out two (2) random combinations (for example B "Palmer" and G "Busted").
I will be calling them out once daily in a seperate thread from(that way everyone gets a chance, a some point of the day, to see what has been called)
It will keep going until someone claims BINGO. (If multiple winners occur at one time, the first three to claim BINGO will win a rank)
Chelydra or I will verify its it's actually a winner and if it is, they win and get a rank.
Please note we will NOT be checking the cards for you so make sure to check your card and whats been called daily.
Pants must be taken off and placed on head.
I'm just trying to follow da rulez.

*Read Post #36 as well*
B - all episodes (10), all characters (14) = 24 under the letter B (person picks 5 out of these 24)
I - all episodes (10), all characters (14) = 24 under the letter I (person picks 5 out of these 24)
N- all episodes (10), all chracters (14) = 24 under the letter N (person picks 4 out of these 24 because the middle spot is free)
G - all episodes (10), all characters (14) = 24 under the letter G (person picks 5 out of these 24)
O - all episodes (10), all characters (14) = 24 under the letter O (person picks 5 out of these 24)
Total possibilities = 120 (24 x 5) that will be called out so there is a chance that where they places it will be called.
What aren't you getting? ![]()

Don't worry Foley, it wasn't well explained in the OP, so I understand your concerns.
Your concern (and mine too before reading) was that each episode and character was only going to be called once.
So if you called G, Sasha, then there would never be Sasha in the B column and possibly no winners because it would require such exact combinations that it's unlikely to guess.
However, now seeing that every character/episode is possible in every letter, this stops the it from being the incredibly impossible odds that you and I were worried about.
These incredibly impossible odds don't exist in the real game since, as you said, certain letters can only have certain numbers in the column and so your BINGO card can't have a number in a letter column that doesn't exist. And honestly, in real BINGO, you don't even need to label the columns for this very reason since if you called, say, 12, it'll always be in the first column no matter what.
The game direction in the OP are fuzzy in this manner, since in this game the letters do matter, and if each of the 24 options only appeared once, the odds of anyone ever getting a BINGO in this game would have been really astronomical.
Actually, this game could easily take a lot longer than the creators think anyway.
Granted, there are only 120 possible combinations.
However, someone needs to have at least 4 of these (using the free space make 1 less) lined up in a row to call BINGO.
So that's 4 times they would have to get the 1/120 probability of the correct number/letter combination, or I believe a 1 in 480 chance (or 1in 600)of even having 4 (or 5) numbers on their card.
Then they have to all them alligned, that's 4 (or 5) numbers lining up in a specific column or row. 5 columns, 5 rows. So that's 5 times the probability (and I could be doing this wrong) of landing the items called in the right order. So there's a 1 in 2400 (or 3000) chance of someone having the right items all in a row or column each time you call a number.
In real BINGO, due to each column being restricted to 15 numbers each, it lowers these odds drastically, allowing for shorter games.
Anyway, even though it's not the nightmare scenario Foley and I imagined reading the OP as it's written, we're still possibly in it for the long haul.
Then again, luck is luck and it can't be accounted for. Someone could win quickly.
You might just come close to having to call all 120 combinations, though.
I predict this game lasts 2 months about (that's half the possible combinations called).
EDIT: Also, I'm not just in here to talk probability, I'll be enterting at a later time.

As a side note I would like to add
(though this required a refresher on the difference
between permutations and combinations)
that there are over
620,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
different cards possible , so there should be no repeat submissions.

Thanks for this chance too, it's awesome. I'm itching to get my rank to match my name and user number. =] (or for it to be JackalopeKing... i don't know which i would pick if i won)
Is it required that people post their cards here before they can play? If not, it should be - to avoid people making the card as names are called.

It's not the repeat submissions we're worried about.
Just the astronomical odds of anyone ever winning as it's presented in the OP.
And then even after the explanation that everything is available in every BINGO column, the still rather high odds of getting 5 in a row in this system.
Like I said, luck aside, this contest may very well take 2 months, at which point half of every possible item/letter combination would be used.

Yeah if all are called it will be 2 month. I was trying to be really creative with this and clearly this had a bump in the road but this is a one time thing. Yeah it will be long but hopefully all who choose to play this will stick around til the end. Sorry for whatever confusion that just happened. I didn't want to do another "draw a pic and win" type of thing. Maybe if I called 4 out daily instead of 2, we can end this thing in a month. ![]()
