Well, we all know how well trying to get half hour episodes when you're already at risk of being cancelled worked for Lucy. :smileytongue:

True. But maybe Lucy was more expensive than TM. After all, Stop Motion is far easier to create than CGI.

How would you like a Rusty Venture?
There are 5 original seasons of Futurama, not 4.

You sound like you're in denial.   Come on man, the show wasn't even that good.  It had like...3 jokes that were constantly recycled.  The creators hadn't even seen a super robot anime besides Voltron.  The plot ended pretty perfectly, so why ruin it?  Unless friggin Dangaioh or Gunbuster show up to fight Gibbs, it's pointless.

This Saturday night, it's a heavyweight collision! Newly crowned UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos, fresh off of his 1st round knockout victory over Cain Velasquez on Fox, returns to the Octagon to battle submission specialist Frank Mir in an all heavyweight card! Cain attempts to bounce back from his devastating loss against Brazilian wrecking machine Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva! Plus, Jason "Mayhem" Miller returns on the FX Prelim show to battle CB Dolloway! The action starts 8pm on FX and 10pm on PPV! I mean, what the hell else would you watch?

Oh, please, Jeebus. Just because you don't like a show doesn't mean it should go off air.

The show ended on sorta a cliffhanger. They can still continue it if they want to.

Seth Green said it was done in August 11. What more do you want?

Robot shows never last long term on Cartoon Network. Unless they're The Big O anyway but even that got cancelled "early".

Actually my buddy told me a rumor that The Big O season 3 could not be funded because Tim and Eric needed money for their projects. Dunno if that's true but if it is... I rage.

HELPeR for the TOONAMI, Mobile Suit Gundam, Dragon Ball Z, Harvey Birdman and Perfect Hair Forever boards. Feel free to ask me anything on those topics.

I'll be happy to say it was a victim of circumstance instead of a true failure, but the show's over.

Also, and I've said it before, Americans prefer super robots to real robots, with most of Adult Swim's pickups save Big O the latter.

Well yeah they prefer super robots... Voltron, Transfomrers and the soooped up mechs of Gundam Wing are their ideals for robots.

And yet hardly anyone has tried a super robot show here. It's kind of baffeling.

No where. They said it was put on hiatus, not canceled. [AS] doesn't even cancel their shows. They just leave them unrenewed until they decide they want more of them made (If at all).

They even released a season 1 DVD for retail. They wouldn't do that for shows that are full fledged canceled unless they at least had more than 1 season (Not at the time of the DVD release anyway).

Hiatus can sometimes be another word for canceled. I'm not speaking in definitive terms.

That's called being canceled.

IMHO CGI is far... far... easier to produce then stop motion. Why do you think it takes about 11 to 13 months to produce 20 episodes of a stop motion series.
