Who would you like to voice TOM if for some reason Blum was not voicing him anymore?  Assuming Toonami was still running. 

I think Kevin Conroy, who has been the voice of Batman since the early 90s, would be a good choice.  He can do a deep, gravelly, cool voice like Blum.  I guess Sonny Straight would warrant some consideration.  I also think the guy who voices the Master Chief from the Halo series would be a good pick.  I actually thought Blum was his VA for a while a few years back.

Yeah Blum is the only Voice for TOM. If he leaves TOM needs to retire.

They could always bring back Moltar or do something with Peter Cullen if he is available.

I just said this in another thread, but if Steve Blum couldn't do the job anymore for some reason, bringing back Sonny Strait (TOM 1) would be the next best thing they could do.

Not to mention Moltar hasn't been around for 13 years and you suggested bringing him back.

I think Sonny Strait would be an adequate replacement. But if Tom for some reason were to leave, I could see them bringing back Moltar or even use Space Ghost. But I prefer Tom of the three.

Perish the thought of Steve no longer voicing TOM though Sonny was good.

I'd go with Reid Scott he voices Mike on Motorcity and he sounds like a younger Steve Blum.

Honestly, Steve Blum will always be TOM in my opinion. My greatest Toonami memories are with TOM 2 & TOM 3 & one thing that always made me think that TOM was such a badass is his voice. I know they could have probably gotten some other dude to be TOM, but it really wouldn't have been the same. My opinion with TOM & Steve blum is pretty much like my opinion with George Lowe & Space Ghost, if you can't get that specific voice actor, don't try to replace them, just retire the character & use another character.

If Peter Cullen came back as the voice of TOM, then I don't think it would work if he done his voice in the style he's used in the Tansformers movies and his past work work eit Toonami. I've been watching re-runs of old Transformers G1, and for Optimus he uses a younger-sounding, smoother voice that I think would work if he voiced TOM.

I thought of another guy who would be a great replacement for Blum if/when he is ever unable to voice TOM: Lex Lang.

Lang has voiced Sanosuke from Rurouni Kenshin; Ecliptor from Power Rangers in Space; Zen-Aku in Power Rangers Wild Force; Wargreymon and various other digimon from Digimon; Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star; Goemon from Lupin; and Doctor Doom in an Avengers title.

steve not be T.O.M. anymore? never. but as a hypothetical, i would say sonny and if not him then i would say peter cullen as moltar, it's true that if he were to return to toonami it may be a bad omen on stuff like funding. sorry moltar fans but we changed to T.O.M. for a reason.

I'd say Sonny Strait would be a good choice if they decided to keep using TOM as the host if Steve couldn't voice him anymore. If they decided to have a different host I wouldn't Mind seeing Moltar back in the saddle.......Though if they can't use "Steve Blum" for some odd reason they can always try asking David Lucas

If Blum cannot voice TOM, then they should have no host at all. Bringing in a new voice and/or character would alienate (no pun intended) the fanbase. At that point, it would be much more useful to create highly stylized bumps in the vein of Toonami.

On a serious note, I obviously wasn't trying to #### people off with the idea of a Blum-less Toonami.  However, if for some reason, not gonna go into specifics, if Blum could not voice him anymore, I would like to know all of your picks for a legitimate replacement if the current TOM as we know him lived on.  I'm not trying to write the guy off, I just thought this would be a neat thing to ponder.  That said, besides Sonny, I feel like my choices of Kevin Conroy, Lex Lang, and the VA for Master Chief would all be adequate replacements.

lol Well that certainly helps prove that David Lucas could replace "Blum" if they couldn't legally have "Steve Blum" anymore 

Also now that you mention it I could see the Chief voice him.....I guess it has to do with the whole both characters have Visors thing but as a joke they could redesign TOM to look more Mechanical Humanoid if he did get the role.
