Wouldn't it be awesome to have a large block of classic anime. Since Boomerang doesn't depend on ratings, we might not need to worry about a possible Toonami Boomerang's fate.

not sure it would work hun, Boomerang has become the dump for older cartoons with no structure of format at all....i mean, the only show i watch is dexters lab, ppg, and puppy in my pocket.

Difference is they don't have to pay for the classics on Boomerang or they already have the license.
I doubt they would put money into buying old Toonami shows for a channel no one even watches.

Boomerang is designed for Cartoon Network's old cartoons for a reason, they don't have to pay a penny I'd assume.. I mean, they own it, I doubt they'd wanna start paying now for new content.

What makes you think they would HAVE to start paying for new content? They could create a 2-hour weeknight block by running classic episodes of Bleach, InuYasha, FMA Original, and Ghost In The Shell, kinda like the quintessential 2005-2006-era lineup! They have the rights to those and could air them on a channel they own, no fuss, no muss...
...or could they? It could be that they would have to pay the companies for additional rights to start airing those shows on a different channel after all. But if not, it really doesn't make THAT little sense to me...
...HOWEVER, It would be irresponsible under the current construct of Boomerang, so Boomerang would have to take on a second identity during the nighttime hours, or rather yield its time to a second [adult swim] channel. And I can't think of a better thing to call this channel than just "[adult swim two]." It continues the decreasing-length name asthetic of [adult swim] (5 letters, 4 letters, 3 letters). It would run during times that [adult swim] ratings are strong enough that it could warrant expansion to a 2nd channel, in other words, 10 PM-6 AM Monday-Friday only.
From 10 PM-12 AM it would be 2 hours of Adult Swim originals that have been relegated to DVR theater and rarely show up even there, including such classics as Harvey Birdman, Sealab 2021, Brak, and Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Those 4 shows would likely be featured in 30-minute blocks, and would fit in with the current climate of Boomerang, just geared toward both an older audience and those who were too young to see them the first time around. Then, at Midnight, TOM would bring the Absolution over for a 2-hour block of Toonami, under a slightly different name. Either "Twonami" or "Toonami 2". This would feature Bleach, InuYasha, FMA, and Gits from the beginning 5 nights a week, and of COURSE include both Toonami bumpers and plenty of commercials for big TOONAMI premieres on Saturday. Then 2-4 AM would repeat the [as] comedy classics and 4-6 AM would repeat the Toonami 2 block.
Why Space Ghost Coast to Coast being the lead-in to Toonami 2? Because it brings the talk show comedy aesthetic better than that loser Eric Andre ever could, and it technically takes place in the Toonami universe. Or is it that Toonami takes place in the Space Ghost universe? I guess either is correct. Anyway, to bring a Toonami block to Boomerang, such a change would be neccessary, because, if you'll recall, [adult swim] owns Toonami, not Cartoon Network. And Saturday and Sunday nights Boomerang would just stay "Boomerang" because [as] needs all the views they can get on their own channel because it's been struggling a lot lately.

I think it would be pretty cool especially if Moltar hosted it and they showed stuff like Johnny Quest and Thundercats. But unfortunately it probably won't happen ![]()

I dunno man, Boomerang is weird.
It's prone to no-announcement schedule changes, mixing cartoons of very disparate eras (I've seen Top Cat directly before Dexter's Lab before) and just general WTFery.
It's not a very good channel, is what I'm saying.

If Boomerang got a Toonami block I'd upgrade my package just to watch it. They already have a 3 hour action lineup. I'm not sure (I'll have to check again), but I think the lineup from 8-11 is
8:00 - 8:30 - Powerpuff Girls
8:30 - 9:00 - Powerpuff Girls
9:00 - 9:30 - Teen Titans
9:30 - 10:00 - Teen Titans
10:00 - 10:30 - Swat Katz
10:30 - 11:00 - Jonny Quest
11:00 - 11:30 - Samurai Jack
All they would have to do is make some Toonami bumps for the shows and it would be set. They could also throw some anime in there. Another thing is they could fill it up with all classic anime. Since people would be watching it on Boomerang they wouldn't expect to see new shows. It would be cool too if they brought Moltar back (I'm positive that wouldn't happen, but it would be cool). But this won't happen, so I wouldn't think think too hard on it.
