Basically, this thread is going to be discussing any and all news and information that comes up in regards to Toonami. You are free to discuss news in this thread, but the main purpose should be to post them.

Anyway, I just read a tweet that stated that Mike Lazzo decides what show appears on Toonami. This should be useful.

I'm hoping this get stickied soon. It's better to keep news organized into one area rather than have them spread all around and be somewhat difficult to recover.

This is a good thread to have. It would prevent a lot of he said she said situations. Though You would have a lot to look at. Twitter is still the best source but sometimes you find a site with a new tidbit of information.

-perhaps, if this is okay with you, we could have a link  to the "Toonami - Prelaunch FAQ" in the OP, that way, i can unfloat it in the main folder, but it can always be here for reference for those who'd like information regarding Toonami in the pre-[as] days, then this thread can remain floated for new info and updates

also, i've been noticing the large amount of floated threads in the Toonami folder, and i've been trying to think of ways to organize the clutter lol

if you are okay with the idea, you can edit the link into your OP, or i can do it if you preffer ^.^

I'd remove that last thing. That isn't Toonami; that's AS in general; and since it didn't mention any Toonami shows in particularly we'll have to assume it won none of its timeslots. So that post is pretty misleading.

Honestly, why wouldn't a summarization of ratings for Adult Swim be related to Toonami? If none of the Toonami shows made #1, then people should know of it rather than be left in the dark. It could be bad news for Week Six ratings.

Yes, but Mike Lazzo has the final say on what airs and what doesn't. And last I checked, he and Manning don't share the same opinionated mindset.

Comedy's been losing steam on Saturdays and Sundays. When Family Guy is no longer an option for 10:30 on Saturday the last thing they're going to to do is give comedy more time on Saturday.

Besides Bleach wont be over until sometime in 2014.

Toonami is not long for the world, ESPECIALLY if Kim and her endless failure is still in charge.

She's the head programmer of Adult Swim Action.  She was responsible for such ratings catastrophies as Death Note, Moribito: Guardian of bad ratings, Code Geass instead of Gurren Lagann, as well as the two most recent flops, Kekkaishi and Durarara, which have the unceremonious distinction of being some of the only anime to be cancelled mid-run.

None of the shows you listed were canceled mid-run. No, pushing Code Geass and Moribito to the 5AM graveyard slot does not count as "cancellation". If you're trying to troll, at least troll using accurate information.

Kekkaishi and Derprarara were cancelled before conclusion to allow Toonami to start.
