That information and more on the Gung-Ho Guns:

Legato Bluesummers (since some people consider him one):

Anime: Leader of the Gun-Ho Guns. Wears a white trenchcoat and has a torture device on his right shoulder and a skull on his left arm. Has blue hair and yellow eyes. He has the ability to control people's minds and bodies as well as to communicate telepathically with Vash and Knives. In episode 23 "Sin" he forces vash to break down and kill him.

Manga: Same appearance and abilities, plus, at the Fifht Moon incident, he is crushed by Knives and spends all of Trigun Maximum in a sarcoficus-like wheelchair thing.

Monev the Gale:

Anime: Wears a purple body suit and orange face guard. Has chainguns on each arm. He also has a bag full of tons of huge weapons. Vash lets him live, but later finds him nailed to a water tank next to Dominique by E.G. Mine.

Manga: As Vash is leaving the town after letting Monev live, he finds him nailed to a cross by E.G. Mine.

Dominique the Cyclops:

Anime: A woman who can move with seemingly lightning-fast speed, but really she has a special eye that can hypnotize and numb the perceptions of ehr opponent, making it appear as if she teleported. After losing, she is caught by Midvalley and is later found nailed next to Monev.

Manga: Her special eye, instead of having a red pupil, is reptilian. After losing, she jumps from a rooftoop to kill herself rather than face Legato.

E.G. Mine:

Anime: A guy in a ball of spikes who can send them shooting in every direction. He is killed by Rai-Dei.

Manga: After seeing E.G. killed, Vash fights him and beats him down easily with his bag he carries.

Rai-Dei the Blade:

Anime: A Japanese swordsman who's sword emits shockwaves and can use his sheath as a gun. he survives the Fifth Moon incident to be shot by Wolfwood.

Manga: Wolfwood shoots him right in front of Vash.

Leonof the Puppetmaster:

Anime: An old man who can control great numbers of surprisingly realistic puppets. His puppets can break apart and take different forms. Wolfwood tacks him down and shoots him with a rocket.

Manga: He spent his childhood on the Seeds ship and was a friend of Vash's. His favorite possesion is a coffin containing a woman he once loved. He loses it in a fight with Vash and so kills himself.

Grey the Ninelives:
Anime: An giant robot with guns in its fingers and a missile launcher in its knee. Wolfwood destroys most of it, and it fires a missile into a plant, being finished off by teh explosion.

Manga: A big puppet controlled from the inside by nine dwarves. Two survive the fight and are taken prisoner.

Hopperd the Gauntlet:

Anime: A human bullet. His bullet-like armor has a machine gun in its tip. Dies in a suicide run into a plant.

Manga: A woman he loved was killed in July, so he wants to kill Vash for revenge. He turns on Legato but fails to kill him, overexerts himself and dies.

Zazie the Beast:

Anime: A child who can control sand worms. Has two small revolvers. Wolfwood shoots him in front of Vash.

Manga: A collective consciousness of insects inside a human body. He is killed by Hopperd, but then takes over the body of a teenage girl.

Chapel:

Anime: A tall, bald man with red eyepieces. Has a Cross Punisher that splits into twin machine guns. He was Wolfwood's teacher. Knives **bleep** him into a black ball thing.

Manga: Wolfwood.

Caine the Longshot:

Anime: A sniper with a face-mask and a camoflauge cloak. Has a very long gun as well as a backup pistol. Kills himself with his pistol after failing.

Manga: N/A

Midvalley the Hornfreak:

Anime: A saxophone player who can create massive shockwaves when he plays a b-flat. His sax, named Sylvia, can also transform into a machine gun. Legato's right-hand man. He blows himself up after Vash disables his sax.

Manga: Master of soundwaves. He can use his sax ver precisely to cancel out sounds with opposite waves of his own. Has very little loyalty to teh Gung-Ho Guns, and trues to conspire with Wolfwood to kill Vash and Knives. His only real "friend" seems to be Hopperd. Killed when he finally rebels against Legato, but his body is controlled by Legato for a short while after is death.

Elendira the Crimsonnail:

Anime: N/A

Manga: A transvestite with an airship and crew. Shoots giant spikes. The strongest Gung-Ho Gun according to Wolfwood. Even Legato is afraid of her.

Livio the Doublefang:

Anime: N/A

Manga: Forgot most of the details (only read the part once and in a hurry) but has to do with Wolfwood's eventual death.

Lazlo the Trip of Death:

Anime: N/A

Manga: Same problem as Livio. I'm getting around to reading that part again soon....

I can answer the first one: Chapel kills him, though technically  you could say it was Legato, since he was controlling Chapel at the time.  And I suppose you could go back even farther and say it was Knives, since he was kind of controlling Legato.

Heh, I like this one.

Distinguishing marks:

Vash has darker hair and complection than Knives and has green eyes (Knives has blue) and a mole beside his left eye.

Rumors:

1) A large man with a mohawk and a huge weapon. He has tons of henchmen and a reputation as the worst womanizer anyone's ever seen. (heard by Meryl and Millie)

2) A tall blonde man with a big gun and a red coat. (heard by Descartes, true)

3) A large man with short legs who carries a large weapon. (heard by Loose Ruth)
